Finally found a ROM for a game I wanted to play that isn't on here anymore but still like to use the Vizzed Plug-in. It seems like a normal-enough file and I put it in the right folders with all the old Vizzed ROMs I downloaded once upon a day. The plug-in loads without an error notice but nothing happens. Insists it needs to download it but there's no progress. Is the Vizzed emulator no compatible with ROMs that didn't originate from this site, or am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for any insight

Sometimes, the game won't load because the file name might be misspelled. That happens to be a lot whenever I'm using the Play Your Game link. For some reason the Play.Rom site has been down for months, and that's why I always used to use that site to play games that have been removed by Nintendo.

Anyway, the file should be in the Vizzed folder on your hard drive. It's under the Plugin Data Folder, under Downloads. Check the spelling of the file name and make sure it has the .zip extension at the end of it. If it isn't spelled correctly when you put the file name in the loader, the game won't load. The loader is real sensitive about including _, -, (), and ! in the file name too.

I hope someone can get the Play.Rom site working again because you didn't have to mess with finding file names and making sure they were: spelled correctly, included the .zip file extension, or included the special symbols such as: _, -, (), ! in the file names with that loader.

luigi25 : Thanks for the tip. I've gone through and changed the file name to match exactly as what the page for it on Vizzed is, but it's still stuck on "Primary game ROMdownload status 0%". Oddly enough, out of curiosity, I tried other ROMs in the folder, too... and only the Sacred Stones seems to be working (the one I've been playing recently). The first GBA Fire Emblem ROM that I got from this site (before taken down) used to work too, but now that's also giving the same result as the Binding Blade file I got from another site yesterday. So I guess it's nothing to do with the file after all? In which case I'm more confused than ever....

luigi25 : OK well apparently I just was lucky with the other ROM and didn't actually know what I was doing. Had the Sacred Stones in the right folder but was clicking to load it from the wrong folder... and said wrong folder is where I stored all the other ROMs lol. I was the problem (via hard drive partitioning; had everything in D drive). Moved the file and now it works
