They found that those who received the income, became less stressed, and have more trust in other people. Their likely hood of joining the workforce also didn't decrease.

This news story is interesting to me. Revealing my standing, I am for a Universal Basic Income. However, I'm sure many of you are not. To reach across lines here. I do wonder how things would end out with our drug issues over here. A lot of unemployed people have severe drug problems. It may be worth it to fix that as well.

I think that Universal Basic Income is a fantastic idea on paper, however I have a few concerns. Mainly about companies raising prices to get a bigger share of the income... anything that can be done to avoid price hikes like that?

The UBI is only there if you're unemployed. It's essentially a safety net. But if they raised the prices really high because of the very bottom, the people who have actual income would probably be outraged. I doubt they'd be able to do that. Since we technically have more employed than unemployed.
