I have a challenge for you. I took a creative writing class in high school, and this is an exercise we did in the beginning of the year. It is called "The Impossible Paragraph". The challenge is to write a paragraph that is at least 100 words long, without using the same word more than once. This includes words like "a", "the", and "and".
Just to emphasize, the rules are as follows:
-Must be at least 100 words
-Cannot use any word more than once
-Must make sense
Please double and triple check your paragraph before you post it to make sure it fits within the guidelines. I will be reading them all, and calling you out if I notice an error
You can post in this thread as many times as you'd like, as long as each "Impossible Paragraph" is unique and independent from the last. If you notice a mistake in someone else's post, you may also post here to correct them. Those are the only two types of posts allowed in this thread. If you just have general comments about someone's paragraph, please use profile comments or private messages instead.
Good luck! I'll get it started.
Sirens sound, lights flash. California citizens rush around, panicked. People run into underground shelters, shielding themselves from threats. Fear runs through Steve’s heart. He wishes only for his family’s safety, something no longer controllable by him since they were separated. Jessica prays silently within a shelter. She hopes God will assist her with survival. Bill sits down, crying in fetal position, understanding what must be happening. Mr. and Mrs. Smith hug their grandkids, hoping somehow things are going to turn out alright. Loud crashing noises pierce people’s ears as all motion stops. The timer hits zero. Explosions occur. Everyone dies.
