The number one priority (if it's possible at least) is to always just step away from whatever is getting me riled up for a few minutes at least and give myself a chance to get re-composed. Usually after a minute of silence and focusing on my breathing I can shake off practically any negative emotion.

Long term though if I had like a really bad/stressful day though and the feelings are lingering, I'll just make myself a bigger dinner than usual, throwing out my calories for the day (an unplanned cheat day once in a while doesn't really affect you any) and do something that doesn't require a lot of brain power like watch a movie or something. A longer-than-usual shower is a nice mental reset for me sometimes too, although with my skin problems I can't be in there too long and I certainly can't do two showers in a day.
