I have a steering wheel for my PC, and I need a racing game or two to test it with. I've tried forza horizon 3 and F1 2018 once, but both were too hard to control, either spinning constantly or turning left to right and back again.

I'm looking for something that is more arcade-y and easy to control, with a high sense of speed. I'll love it more if it comes with a car or ship creator and a track editor, or at least a career mode where I can get upgrades for my vehicle after a race or two.

Anybody got any suggestions?

If you just want somethign super cheap to test it with, an older F1 game might work.
Or, you could try a Dirt game.

I still enjoy playing Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed every so often. It's the only racing game I actually return to. I'm not much of a racing game person otherwise.

Depending on what kind of things you're willing to do, it's possible to play emulated racing games with a steering wheel if you map it correctly, which means you could play Mario Kart Wii with an actual wheel instead of a Wiimote inside a piece of plastic! ...I'm not kidding, though, it might actually be a good option if you want arcade-y and easy to control racing, since there's a few racing games that are console-exclusive.
