So I mentioned in another thread about school clubs that I am heavily involved in a club at my college (Binghamton University) called Binghamton Review. To quote our mission statement, "Binghamton Review is a non-partisan, student run periodical of libertarian and conservative thought at Binghamton University." Essentially we are a student-run publication focused on freedom of speech and providing a voice to opinions that are unpopular on college campuses. We allow anyone to write for us, but typically our writers tend to be conservative or libertarian. We also have a YouTube channel.

I am currently a staff writer for the Review, as well as the social media manager. As the social media manager, I run the Facebook page, Twitter account, Binghamton Review website, Issuu account, and our YouTube channel. I also help with the editing and production processes. In all likelihood I will be the Editor-in-Chief next year, since our current EIC and Managing Editor are both graduating.

I'm just throwing this out there in case anyone is interested in reading what we write, or watching the videos we put out. I will leave all of our links below. Honestly, after checking out one of the videos on there, it doesn't seem like my kind of thing, but you've got decent production as far as I'm concerned. Looking at the articles being talked about on your Twitter page, I can see how you attracted controversy, since political stuff always attracts controversy, but it's still kind of interesting to look at. It's also cool because a lot of college campuses are infamous for being politically biased, so at least having a balance is better than being completely slanted towards one side.

On a side note, it's usually not wise to give out information on the Internet that people can easily link up between your online identity and your real identity.

NovemberJoy : Yeah, we're definitely pretty controversial, but it's expected when you let people write whatever they want.

I don't really care, it's not like I'm trying to keep my Vizzed profile a secret for some reason (or keep my real life a secret from Vizzed). Everyone puts their real names and information on their social media, I don't see how this is any different. I understand the reasons why some people might not want to, but to me it isn't a huge concern.

zanderlex : Yeah, we use Issuu. It's nice to have somewhere to upload the PDF, so you can see what the paper looks like in print, instead of just reading everything from the website.

Typically I write about politics, but my favorite things to write are satire articles. I've written two of those so far, one about how abortion is a "basic human right" and one about how saying "happy holidays" is offensive to Muslims and Atheists and other people that don't celebrate a winter holiday. They're fun because I get to be sarcastic and annoying lol.

Writing might be in my future, but most likely not. My plan right now is to become a lawyer, but that could change.
