To be fair, I got it 3 days before it was released in the U.S.
Got to the 3rd gym before it was actually released. Started playing again today.
Got bored for most of the day, go to 6th in about 3 hours.

Gold/Silver was always easy. In any other game you'd get to about 70 during/after the Elite 4. Here, it's mid-40's. Easy stuff.

Exactly, that's why I'm taking my time (that and it's admittedly harder to play when all you got is a ROM and no flashcart ). Seriously, Mattman, since when is the point speedrunning your first time through? No wonder Nintendo's trying to get Gen V out ASAP, the fans will get bored if they have to wait more than a year .

It never changes. It was horrid in RBY, horrid in GSC, horrid in RSE, horrid in FrLg, horrid in DPPt (I've seen others play this, it's still a roulette what your opponents choose), and will be horrid in HgSs. It's inevitable.

They have to market it to kids to. If they make the AI really good, then it would be probubly to hard for the target audience. Right now, it's at "Spam super effective attacks, use an item or two, MAYBE POSSIBLY switch", and that's probubly the best it can get.

(I can't spell probubly for the life of me.)
