I don't understand all the bad reviews for Payback. I've only played it for a few days but I already love the game so much.

The races are a ton of fun, the amount of customization is amazing, and the controls are really good, allowing for some sweet smooth races in most cases.

I even kind of like the story.

What's thete not to like?

Do all the other Need for Speed games have such bad reviews as well? Has anyone ever played Payback or any of the others?

I thought they were pretty fun, not bad at all but not my favorite racing games. Both of them rated pretty well 8/10. At the time I think most people liked Gran Turismo PSX I personally didn't buy into the hype of it. I liked Test Drive 4 PSX, California Speed N64, Hydro Thunder DC, Jet Moto PSX, Cruis’n USA N64, Wave Race N64, Wipeout PSX. I realize these games are decades old, but they are fun and a good variety of racing games.
