So, I was sort of burnt out for the Waking Dead after Season 8 didn't deliver a great experience for the fight against Negan. However, a friend of mine kept watching and told me about some of what has happened in Season 9 so far and that piqued my interest. I'm just finishing episode 7 and I've actually been enjoying it. It has been fairly slow but I'm actually enjoying the new dynamic that has been created. It has changed a lot of the way the show feels which has been nice.


I'm not going to give away anything unless someone comes in wanting to discuss what actually happened but I'm pretty interested again in the show. If only they could have ended the Negan stuff earlier and moved on I wouldn't have had half of this season spoiled.

I have not watched a single episode of it. I know they play it all day on Sundays but I just don't really seem interested in it for some reason. I've never been that interested in zombie related things. Maybe a movie or two is fine but I don't think I could watch an entire series on it to be honest. From what I have heard from people around the internet is that it has gone on too long as a series and there are a lot of upset and angry fans who have turned their back on it. I am more of a Better Call Saul / Breaking Bad person.

JigSaw : I think a big problem of the story was that for the first 3 or 4 seasons it was a big mix of characters and things were constantly changing and evolving and then it became about a small group of people and everyone else become secondary.

It again feels like it did early on where anyone could die at any time and where things can drastically change for the group. It also isn't about the early characters as much anymore.

I haven't seen either of the other shows you mentioned but I've heard good things about them.
