I didn't see this already asked, but if it has already, just chuck this thread. I've been gone for a while, so I'm in the dark about all of the recent work done in the RGR, so I just want to get up to speed here.

I can get all of the games to load, that's no problem. My problem is that for MAME (shocker, huh) I can't really get the games to do anything; I can't use the 'insert coin' command to get the thing started, so I can't actually play the games. I also can't open the menu, so I'm kind of at a loss.

If this is an already established and well-known problem, it's no big deal. It might just be that the games I've tried are inherently broken, I can't say for sure.

As far as I know, this isn't a well known issue to my knowledge.

The ones I tried recently are Pocket Racer, Ghosts 'N Goblins, American Speedway, and Athena. I can get to the title screen and title demo, but I can't get the game to actually start, it won't register me inserting a 'credit'. The others i tried just don't work at all, so I'm not counting those.

They all worked fine for me.

You are pressing 5 to add coins and 1 to start?

The 2 racing games however, are a bit harder to configure since they are supposed to be used with steering wheels, not joysticks.

All right, I got it now. 1 wasn't assigned to anything for some reason, which is probably why i was having a problem making it start. What a hassle. MAME is not particularly easy to use.
