Hello Internet my name is Kaden and I’ve been playing games off the retro game room for awhile now. I’m pretty passionate about gaming especially good single player focused games. Most recently my new “obsession” (I use that term in the lightest way possible) has been final fantasy 15. I’m also getting ready to launch my YouTube channel and here’s where my questions come into play. #1 is it okay for me to use footage from the retro game room on my channel. And #2 is it okay to self promote my channel if I handle it elegantly?My channel is going to be family friendly and about gaming discussion videos.

If you record footage of RGR games and upload them to the sites channel, then that works AND you get Viz too, but other than that, it's totally fine to have it on your own channel, Whatever game you pick, it would be just like having the game yourself and recording it. There's nothing wrong with promoting your channel as long as it's in the right places.

I'm curious on how someone 'elegantly' promotes anything.  Usually, you're grabbing our attention in the first ten seconds of a video and that often doesn't involve any elegance.  That's a good word and very descriptive in the right situation.
