The 82nd Oscars were on the 7th of march. What were your thoughts on them?

Was any one suprized? Upset? What do you think about them, just nonsense?

I wasn't too suprized. Although Avatar had NINE nominations, it didn't win any of the "big" awards. But that is to be expected, it's a huge deal a sci-fi/action even got nominated for best director or motion picture.

I kinda knew that Avatar was going to lose after it didn't whore out all the technical awards.

Though I was really happy when Christoph Waltz won Best Supporting Actor and Star Trek won at least one award.

It won best visual FX. That was it's forté. As well as 2 others.

I could have seen it win best director, as James Cameron is the name to beat now.

I despise the Oscars.... let's make movies and then award ourselves because we're so awesome!

The awards are meaningless to me. Apparently some people really think they matter and think that just because said movie won an oscar that it's now so much better than other movies.

If a movie is good then it's good regardless of the Oscars.
