The Vizzed RGR Plugin now supports screenshots so you can now take screenshots of your games by pressing F6. To retrieve your screenshots, on the page of the game, go about half way down the page and to the left you'll find a link that says 'Click Here to Retrieve, Add or Update your Screenshots', simply click that, give your screenshot a description and it'll be submitted.

To celebrate this new feature, I've got 2 competitions, both you can win 25,000 Viz.

Funny Screenshot Competition
Cross Screenshot Competition

Failed Newbie Quiz? Simply PM me, Davideo7, and I'll reset it so that you can retake it. Remember, you get up to 400 Viz for taking the newbie quiz and it allows you to post (and you get around 10 Viz per a post you make).

The Plugin we released a few days ago had problems with it but we have fixed those problems and have re-released it. Download it here

I'm very sorry for the trouble this has caused some of you. Even though the problem is fixed I still want to make it up to some of you so for anyone who had to suffer the problems for the past few days, please send me a PM letting me know that you were a victim and I'll compensate you 1,000 Viz.

Want to earn a quick 900 Viz? Than go here:
https://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/thread.php?id=11329

Doing this will help out vizzed a lot so your help will definitely be worth it.

Turns out some of the games weren't working after the transfer and some people were unable to load or save their games. This should be fixed but if not, please report any other problems that you might be having that has come up after the server transfer a few days ago in this thread:
https://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/thread.php?id=11194

The server migration took longer than expected (full details here) but everything is finished being transferred and we are of course on the new server

The new server is over twice as powerful which means that the site will be able to handle over doubled the traffic, we shouldn't have to upgrade again for the rest of the year. Also the new server has file mirroring which greatly reduces the chances of files getting corrupted such as your save files. And the other big change is that the disk space of the new server is over doubled which means I've got more space to add more games in the future.

Thanks for everyones patience during the transfer. I know I had originally said it'd only take 12 hours but ended up taking 36 hours.

If anyone notices any problems that may have been caused from the transfer, please report them ASAP in this thread:
https://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/thread.php?id=11155

Any time between now and Thursday there will be some down time, possibly up to 12 hours. No data will be loss.

Vizzed is migrating to a more powerful server which will be literally over twice as powerful. The reason for this migration is that the Vizzed traffic is expected to increase rapidly during the next few months and since the CPU usage is already getting near 90% during peak hours, now is the best time to do the migration.

Any questions, please post them here:

Well as you can all see, the New Board Experience has launched!

If for some reason you're still seeing old graphics, simply press Ctrl + F5, because you're browser is probably caching the old graphics. You may need to do this for multiple pages.

What's new on the New Experience?
-Chat Bar
At the bottom of every page, you'll see a chat bar which lets you chat with your friends, tells you which friends are online and also lets you either create or enter a user created chat room and chat with others (this is based on the cometchat plugin I purchased but spent an entire day alone modifying and working on). You can disable the plugin in the edit profile page, or you can simply make it so that it appears on the index only.

-All new graphics and scheme
Completely updated graphics and a new design which makes navigating the site easier and quicker

-Friends list
You can add users to your friends list but either going to the Control Panel and than to Friends List, or you can add them from their profile

-Status Bar
Below the banner you will see a status bar which now shows who is also on that page for every single page

-You now get 100 Viz for coming to vizzed board each day (before it was 50)

-Help Links
This isn't finished yet but I plan to make terminology that users are unfamiliar with clickable links (as you can see, the word 'viz' is a clickable link in most areas which now takes you to a page telling you how to earn it and what it is

-Optimization
Many pages have been optimized so that they put less strain on the server and also make the page load faster

-About Us page
Gives detailed information about vizzed from general information, credits, privacy policy, disclaimer and some history

-Updated Index
Gives a little more information, has a google search and also encourages users to bookmark the page

-Viz Center
Gives you your referral link (like before) but also shows your Viz count, has a donation button and has a link you can click for more information

-Etc

Please report any problems you may have with the new experience in this thread:
https://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/thread.php?id=10717
but PLEASE be specific and detailed. It's not quite finished but I figured it was far enough along to go live.

All you have to do is place your referral link on any website or email it to anyone and you'll earn Viz!

Post your referral link on any website, your facebook / myspace / twitter profile, email it to people, post it on youtube, post it in your signature or bio of another message board, etc... or tell your friends about (if your friend signs up without a referral link, on the registration page they can choose your username as the person who referred them and you'll still get credit).

You can find your referral link near the top of every page directly above the message center. The referral link takes the person to the same page you got your referral link on.

Here's how much Viz you get from referrals:
-For every person with a unique IP who visits your referral link, you earn 100 Viz
-If a person you referred registers, you earn an additional 400 Viz
-If the user you referred makes a post, you earn an additional 500 Viz
-You also earn 5 Viz for every single post the person makes that you referred

You can see a list of all the people who you referred that signed up by going to your profile; you'll also receive a notification.

BONUS PROMOTIONAL OFFER - Earn $ Cash $
US $10 - If you refer at least 25 people to the site who sign up, you will be awarded $10 Cash
US $25 - If you refer at least 50 people to the site who sign up, you will be awarded $25 Cash
(remember, this is in USA currency)

Promotional Offer Rules:
-Only users who sign up using unique IPs count. So in other words, users who sign up using your IP or at your location do not count.
-The money will be paid either thru Paypal or I can order something online for you equivelant to the payout (which includes the shipping cost)
-You can choose to have extra Viz instead of Cash. $10 payout would become 10,000 Viz and $25 payout would become 25,000 Viz
-The most each individual user can earn is $25
-This offer is good until July 1st, 2010 or until I've paid out a total of $100, which ever comes first
-All the Viz you earn is automated but to get the Cash payout, you MUST PM me once you've referred the number of users for a cash payout

I've spent the past few days implementing lots of features which will ultimately make the vizzed board experience even better!

New Features Include:

Modified Message Center
This area contains your Private Messages, your Notifications, and the Announcements. These things also appear on all pages now so that users will know when they get PM's, get notifications and now people will actually know when an announcement is made.

Notifications
When someone replies to a thread you made, you will receive a Notification. If you haven't read your notifications, it will only notify you once per a thread so therefore it wont notify you again if additional replies have been made to a thread that you've posted (until you've read your notifications). When you go to the notifications page, it automatically marks all notifications as read.

Things that you get notified on:
-Replies to threads you made
-When someone signs up and refers to you
-When someone posts a comment on your profile
-When someone stickies, unstickies, opens or closes one of your threads (and it tells you who did it)
-When someone moves one of your threads (and it tells you who did it and where it got moved to)
-Additional notifications to come (so request some suggestions and if it's good, it'll be a notification)

Modified Announcements
Announcements will now appear on all pages and will let you know when a New Announcement has been made. Going to the Announcements page marks all Announcements as read.

Modified Referral System (remember, referring users earns you lots of viz)
Your referral code is still on the index but now when a user clicks it, not only does it take them to the index of the site but it lets them navigate the site all they want and when they're ready to register, it'll still set you as the referrer. The way it worked before was dumb, basically you gave someone a link which took the user to the register page and if they didn't register using that exact link, you didn't get the referral; this is not the case anymore.

Also, if someone registers that you referred but didn't use your referral link, when they're signing up, they can type in the username of the person who referred them (and it has a drop down box that auto populates with the correct spelling of all the usernames on the board).

You can discuss these feautures here to give me feedback:
https://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/thread.php?id=9611

We have just added a new feature: Photo Album!

Now you can upload your photos and share them with others and get Viz when someone posts a comment on them.

Here is the pricing for each picture you upload:

- Newbie = 100 viz to upload
- Trusted = 75 viz to upload
- Local Mod = 50 viz to upload
- Global Mod = 25 viz to upload
- Admin = 0 viz to upload
- Site Owner = 0 Viz to upload

For each comment you post on a photo you get 10 viz, if someone comments your photo you will also get 10 Viz.

Spamming comments will get you banned so don't even try it!

Here is the photo album: https://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/photoalbum.php
To upload photos visit: https://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/photoalbum.php?V=upload

To view your own photo album simply click on the link that says "your photo album" located next to the welcome message.

Enjoy it

Thanks,
JigSaw

As many of you have noticed since yesterday new threads and replies were not working. All posts that you made during this time are lost and cannot be recovered.

This is mainly due to a server upgrade for increased RAM which somehow was able to glitch the database.

David has repaired the database so everything should work fine now.

We have just added another new feature this week: Automark Threads Read!

This feature basically marks a thread as read when you view the thread for those who don't know the point of it.

Believe it or not I don't think this feature ever worked as long as I've been here (4+ years). It was also a feature DM has been requesting for just as long as I've been a member. Glad it is finally up!

Enjoy it

Thanks,
Vizzed Development

We have just added 3 new features:
1. User Profile Comments
2. Edit Profile User Pic & Minipic Uploads
3. Picture Attachments on New Threads & Replies

Enjoy

Thanks,
Vizzed Development

We have just added a new feature: Block PM's From Certain Users!

To block a user from sending you PM's simply go the users profile you wish to block PM's from and click on the 'Block PM's' button at the very bottom of the page. To unblock PM's from a user do the exact same thing. If you blocked a users PM's then the 'Block PM's' button will say 'Unblock PM's'.

So if someone is annoying you or being rude, just block them

Thanks,
Vizzed Development

We have just added a new feature: Sending Viz by user profiles!

*You will not be able to send Viz if you are not logged in or if you are viewing your own profile.

To send Viz simply go the users profile you wish to send Viz to and it will appear above the users post layout. If you don't know what or where that is then scroll down to the bottom of their page and you will see it

Thanks,
Vizzed Development

First I would like to say that we are currently in the process of patching this hole....

Someone SQL injected and showed us a pretty little picture. So with that being said, please change your password to something that you don't use on other sites. That is a good practice to us everywhere though.

The staff members and I will let you know when we get everything patches.

Please note: Every site is vulnerable and securing it isn't an instant thing, people find exploits on websites all the time. I will be going through files and patching things as needed.

Thanks,

The Staff.

Some things that have bugging the hell out of me is inactive/banned/people who dont post showing up everywhere. I took the liberty to edit a few files.

You will notice we dont have a billion birthday on the index page thats because you have to meet these qualifications...

Must have account above banned status
Account must have 10+ posts
And it has to be your birthday of course

//++
// ACS
//++

ACS has been altered too if you're banned then you do not show up on the ACS either.

I look forward to implementing a few more features, this should also help speed up the servers response with not having to grab a billion account that only play games.

Thanks,

Vizzed Development

First let me start by saying welcome, you are now a member of our Vizzed community and we're glad to have you....

But with being a member becomes responsibility, it's just like getting your license. It's a privilege not a right. With that being said if you tend to break the rules we take privileges away. (Sorry thats just how it goes)

We ask that you read this before continuing, consider yourself warned.

On behalf of the staff welcome and thanks.
