See now thats just wrong. From what I read the poor guy had his stuff given back, but thats terrible that in this world anyone with knowledge is instantly the one to blame.
I suppose it comes about because of a whole generation that is basically computer illiterate but still uses the net being the norm.
So anyone who is able to do even the slightest thing more advanced must be a "hacker". Absolutely retarded.

Just because I have the ability to shoot a gun, drive a car, light a cigarette doesn't mean I will shoot people, run them over, and light them on fire. So stupid whoever thinks is a noob. This reminds me of minority report trying to charge people with crimes before they even commit them.

But as I read more about it, I'm starting to think it might have been kind of like the Lori Drew fiasco, where they were mad at the guy because of something he did that was jerktastic but not illegal, so they tried to stretch the law to find a way to punish him. Still, they did it without any thought as to the kind of precedent that would be setting.
