well, for me it's a choice between half life 2, bioshock and gta4 (the pc version was the best).

Id have to say Ultima Online, and CounterStrike
Altho both of them are still in effect they were pioneers for their time. Ultima Online was a Everquest battle-type game that came out during 1998-1999. Epic game IMO. Counter-Strike..... well enough said on that topic, if you havent played CS then your missing out on a good first-person action online multiplayer game.
