Zel: It's decided then.

Zel called Hikaru. But she's not replying, must be that her phone is off.

Zel: Sigh, I guess I need to do it this time.

Zel sprinkled some dust, and they got teleported to the building.

Cris: Zel, where did you go?

Cris looked at Jin and the girl.

Cris: Got chased by mages as well?

Zel: Edward to be exact.

Cris: A big shot went to Japan?

Zel: Yeah, how's the kid.

Cris: He's with Hikaru in the clinic.

Zel: And that guy with you. You really like bringing suspicious looking people in my place eh? And how many times do I need to tell you not to shut off your phones.

Cris: And how about the guy with you? And better talk to Hikaru about it, I didn't shut off her phone you see.

Cris: Hello there little girl.

She knelt infront of the girl.

Cris: What's your name?

Hikaru: There are bad guys around. They harm people... with magic. I'll explain everything to you later. You need to rest....

She patted the boy's head lightly, as if trying to calm him. 

Jin was very confused about what was going on, but he felt like he was relatively safe.

He leaned against a closeby wall, and wondered what exactly he was going to do now, in god knows where.

He closed his eyes, and decided to relax a little. His body was a little sore. As long as the girl was safe he knew he did something right.

Sairek managed to quiet himself down a little bit after a while as she listened to her, although the tears was still rushing down his eyes. He clenched his teeth; anger subsided very deep within in him at the entire situation, but his misery was too strong right now to possibly bring that out.


Sairek: No... I need to know what's going on... Please... tell me... I need to know who I am; I need to know why people did this to me. I will never be able to rest until I have a general idea...


Sairek closed his emerald eyes tightly, his teeth still clenched as he turned his head away from her. The emotional pain he was feeling about the entire thing was clearly showing. He felt nothing but agony, fear, helplessness and despair.


Sairek: Hell, I don't even know who or what I am anymore... Mage or Magician... What are they...? In the few memories I have left... There's no recollection of the two at all... I just believed I was a normal person, and that magic was just possible for everyone... I never believed myself to be above anyone else from what I remember...




((Edit: By the way, about the people who chased him... Do you want to make those guys up? Or shall I? I do want to plan for Sairek to meet them again sooner or later.))

"..."Aya did not respond to Cris's question. She heard it, but was too she was too shy to answer.

She shrank back a few steps, accidentally bumping into Jin behind her. She jumped in surprise and accidentally let go of Momiji. The dog fell to the ground, and ran to lick Cris's leg. Seeing Momiji act so affectionately, Aya said, "Aya... Aya Mercury."

(OOC: If you want a visual of Momiji, she looks like Potato from Air: / )

Jin felt a bump. He awoke and looked at Aya.

"So that's your name? Aya? That's a cute name." he said with a grin. "I think you'll be safe with these people. So there's no need to be afraid. If they try anything though, I am here to protect you. I know it sounds weird, but I'll try to stay by your side until this whole mess is over."

Aya blushed at Jin's statement. She wasn't used to people complimenting her on her name.

"What about you?" she asked. "I don't think I ever got your name...?"

"How rude of me, I was in such a panic I couldn't get a name out probably." Jin said cooly, "Alright then, my name is Jin. Just Jin. I'm no mage, magician, or anything overly special. I'm a former mercenary with experience fighting against mages and magicians. That's how I was able to tame the dog, which is a low level summon compared to things I've seen. I retired from being a merc a while back because the whole business involved killing innocents. Basically, I now spend my days wandering around just living life. I occasionally run into people like you and get them away from this conflict if possible." he stopped, "Oh, I'm sorry... I kinda ranted, and you barely know who I am. Just know I am indeed a friend. I want to protect you."

Jin leaned over and kissed Aya's hand. "The pleasure is all mine."

Now Aya really blushed because she'd never seen someone act so kind to her. Perhaps it was the circumstances of their meeting or he was just very gentlemanly. Either way, Jin acted much differently from other guys Aya met, especially her father. "P-pleasure to meet you," she fumbled. Momiji ran up to Jin's leg amd began licking that too.

"No need to be so nervous." Jin said with a smile, "And what a cute pet!" He pet Momiji. "I love animals. I have a good thing going with them."

Aya smiled. "Yeah, she is very kawaii, isn't she? Her name is Momiji, and I think she really likes you." Momiji barked in response.

"Well that's good. I would prefer if she liked me, seeing as I expect we will be spending a good amount of time together." Jin remarked. "Sorry we couldn't get that lunch earlier, but I do have some food in my bag if you are hungry. I always am prepared."

Jin pulled out a grilled cheese sandwich and plopped it in his mouth.

"Variety of flavors, and plenty of food. If you are hungry, eat up, I'd hate any to go to waste."

Tarin awoke in alarm to all the commotion coming from the other room. It was naught two nights ago when he had been tracking the whereabouts of a suspected mage. Using the high rise buildings for a vantage point Tarin cautiously followed the leery individual until he had come upon an intersection in the alleyways below. Whoever they were, they traveled swiftly with much speed, Tarin followed until his target stopped at a back entrance to a shop below. The door opened, his target had begun to talk to this second figure in the doorway. Though the conversation was short lived, because he retreated back inside.

Something must have spooked him, all of a sudden Tarin's target the one he had been following, made a flash movement onto the rooftop of nearby building sending a barrage of attacks at Tarin. Tarin countered with his own, a loud boom and crackle resonated as each attack made contact leaving a cloud of dust swirling in the air. Tarin unscathed made for higher ground leaping onto what looked like a radio antennae, but was stopped short by a blow from above and was sent diving head first into the streets below. The impact of his body and the hard pavement sent a shockwave throughout his limbs, causing him to go limp, his body rebounded once more until his momemtum was stopped short by impact against a fence in the alleyway. His mysterious target dropped down in front of his gaze, after taking a few steps forward he was taken aback when all but a blinding light could be seen before losing consciousness. Tarin later found himself healed in the very same building where two new people have arrived.

Tarin got up out of the comfort of his corner and approached the two new people to greet them.
"Hi. my name is Tarin, I'm pleased to make your acquaintance"

"I, am Jacques. Pleased to meet you." Jacques said as he made quite a display of putting his butterfly knife away. "That Mage was... An old 'friend' of mine." He explained, barely showing his French accent. "Now, where are we, if you don't mind answering?" He examined his surroundings curiously.

Zel:  I built this place. Let's say this is my home for the time being. A safe place since it's in a different dimension and unless you have the magic dust and the image of the place itself in your mind, you won't be able to teleport here. I casted a spell on the dust so it's not an ordinary dust. And a mage's friend... I'm sorry but this place is not fo- aw!

Cris stepped on his foot. He knew what Cris was trying to tell him.

Zel: *sigh fine fine, do whatever you want. 

Cris: Oh don't mind us, hahah, his foot just suddenly.... ached. Cute dog, I like its puffy cheeks. :3

Cris: Ah, hello there Tarin!

Hikaru: If you want to know that badly.....

Hikaru opened her phone that she turned off awhile ago and called Zel through it.

Zel: Huh?

Zel picked up his phone.

Hikaru on phone: Hey, you inside the building? I need to talk to you.

Zel: Yes inside. And I OPENED the gate Hikaru.

Hikaru: Eeeep!

Zel looked pretty mad judging from his aura alone.

Hikaru: I'm sorry, I'm sorry Zel I'm sorry..... by the way, where are you?

Zel: At the front. Reception area.

Hikaru: gotcha! Wait for me.

Hikaru ended the call

Hikaru: Alright, let's go to the reception area Sairek. If you wanna know more, Zel is the man. He said he's in there. C'mon, ride on my back, you're not yet fully healed so you shouldn't walk on your own yet.

Zel: Now my life is far from quiet....

"Now, would you happen to have any food around here? The mages don't exactly feed their prisoners." Jacques said with an angry tone. He was already thinking up a plan to end 'his old friend'.

Sairek was still looking away from Hikaru when she dialed on the phone. A hundred thoughts a second were rushing through his head. He raised a shaky left hand to the giant jewel that helped his hood stay together. He gripped it tightly in his gloved hand as is head slowly fell to look at it, and his eyes opened slightly to do so despite the water that was in them.


Sairek: I have no memory... but I know mother gave this to me... But I don't know what for...


His head rose a little when Hikaru got off the phone. He blinked the water out of his eyes some, which left more tears to trail down his face. He raised his left arm, letting go of the jewel to wipe his face and eyes dry. He nodded to her slowly, using both hands to grab his staff, and slowly with effort, push himself up onto two feet. As he was doing so, he began to wince, before he let out a yell of pain and succumbed back down onto one knee, and even dropped his staff doing so from his right hand as it snapped up to grip the damaged shoulder. Sairek breathed heavily for a moment, before releasing the shoulder to pick up his staff again. Determined to stand up, he started again, this time making it up on his two feet without any problems other then being just slow about it, and perhaps the action itself seemed to have wore him down some.

Aya stayed by Jin's side as the group made their way into the reception center. She didn't know anything about them, but judging by the way Cris and Zel talked to them, she felt she could put a little more trust into them.

"What do you think that guy wanted earlier?" she asked Jin. "Did you two know each other?"

"His name was Edward. He's a pretty powerful guy I guess you could say. I don't know a whole ton about him, but he and I were once on the same side when I was a mercenary. I was on the same side as many different people." Jin said, "I wouldn't worry too much since this character here hasn't done anything to harm us. They seem about equal in strength. I'm no pushover myself. I think we'll be fine."

Jin walked calmly with Aya, growing more comfortable being around her

Tarin approached Zel and asked:
"So what is this all about" Is this place safe?"
