So, I was playing Silent Hill 2 for a bit just now. I was hyper, and sick. Here's the thing, I have a bad case of ADHD, and when I get hyper... I can get to the point of needing to have a trash can by me in case any... stuff comes out the mouth. I started wondering if I should be playing Survival Horror games when hyper to the point of being sick. So, should I play more laid back games like the first three Spyro games, Ratchet and Clank games, the first Jak game, the Sly Cooper games, and anything that's not full of frights? I probably should take a break from Silent Hill 2, anyway... Advice? Stories? Calling the cops for no reason? 911? What?

Seriously. Anyone know any suggestions for good PS2 games I have in my collection that I could play when hyper and sick?

That's the general list. As you can see, destruction kinda is my thing when it comes to gaming. I like destroying things... No wonder I chose to break those cheap colored pencils this morning over just throwing them away as is.

Now. Suggest, and advise!

I usually play some large strategy game to calm me down, like Age of Wonders 2, or some Final Fanatasy game. I've done this before too though, my local convienance store has this little espresso shots that you can put in coffee (you're supposed to limit them to two a day) but me and my girlfriend have grabbed five each and put them in some drinks and just down them to the point of bouncing off the walls then we'd play games like Silent Hill. We'd never get to the point of throwing up but yeah, later our stomachs would be killing us XD.

Well, I don't know much about games you shouldn't play when you're sick because of hyperactivity, however I do know about some games you shouldn't play when you have a fever.

Twisted Metal: Black-Take a dark twisted storyline, add a mostly suburban set of arenas, make the entire set of PCs bat%&*$ insane, and make one of the PCs a serial killer clown, you won't sleep.... ever.

Mario Kart DS/Wii: You know all those bright, cheery levels? In a fever dream, they become nightmarish and twisted representations of what they once were. For example, I had a fever once, and I dreamt that I was racing through toads factory. Except there were more corpses, lava, and the cartoon violence was switched in for actual violence for a ride through the Foundry from Hell.

Any Survival Horror game-Seriously, the nightmares will be 10x worse than anything else. The creatures in those games are already usually horrific and vomit inducing, so your fever riddled brain will save them in its memory just so it can spend all night terrifying you.

However, if you get sick from getting excited, don't worry too much about playing SH2. I think fear and excitement qualify as two different things. Also, if you get sick when excited, then playing laid back games is definitely the best way to deal with that; try some artistic flash games, or a nice jrpg.
