Description:
A girl of unusual upbringing, Asumi was orphaned when she was no more than a toddler. The daughter of a wealthy, yet corrupt noble, her family's enemies hired the Black Clan to assassinate them. One night they stole into the home and put everyone to the sword. They found Asumi holding a broken knife, her hands cut trying to defend herself.

The Black Clan saw her bloodied hands as an ill omen - if they put her to the sword, it would mean the end of their clan. As such, they brought her into the fold, her identity erased. On her 12th birthday, she carried out her first assassination mission and was given her name, and from then on served the Clan loyally.

As the years went on, however, Asumi began to resent her cold and desolate life, and desired to be able to fight the evil she saw around her. Seeing the work of the Justicars, she confronted the Lord Regent and requested to become one. However, she must prove that she is not merely a skilled assassin, but a servant of the Edo as well.
