I saw a thread about overrated movies. But did everyone look at reviews of a particular movie and thought that it was being hated on for no reason because you thought it was a pretty good movie?

Honestly, for me, I thought Pixels was a great movie. Then again, I'm on this site, what does that tell you

It ended up getting a rating of a little over 5/10. I find it was atleast a good 7/10. Anyone agree?

It wasn't bad at all.

I saw Pixels and I honestly found it to be overrated. That's saying something coming from someone who considers himself a hardcore gamer and someone who has actually seen and enjoyed a lot of Adam Sandler movies. I feel like had the video game theme not been plastered all over it people wouldn't have had the slightest interest in it. The writing wasn't really that funny, it had a few good scenes mainly the one where pacman talks with his creator Other than that though nothing memorable about it aside from seeing some classic video game characters be animated. A 5/10 seems about right to me. That's just crazy old me though, I don't mind if others like it.

It really is a great movie.I don't know why people don't like it.

Terminator: Genisys

Yes, I often think many movies are actually underrated because there is always something one can learn from them, even if it's the lesson that "this movie is bad, don't ever do what they did." oO;;

Definitely, Maybe is an underrated film. When my brother first suggested it to me I didn't want too until I watched the movie. It was pretty cool and funny to me so I enjoyed watching it. Plus  was wrong since I thought this film was going to be something I don't like. It has ratings of 7.2.

A movie I think is underrated would be The Amazing Spider-Man 2. It's my favorite Spider-Man movie out of all of them (for now). I don't know why people hate it. I understand their disappointment with Electro's build-up but I think it was enough.

One movie that I think is really underrated is Passengers. People said that the way the movie looked was great but that the story had killed the entire thing. I think that it was amazing within 1 week of it being released, I had seen it twice and I loved it it had terrible ratings but it's easily one of my 3 most favorite sci-fi movies of all time and I think that this is how sci-fi movies are supposed to be made in the first place. The movie looked fantastic, there were plenty of really dramatic scenes scattered throughout the film, and some of the comedy was really good as well. However, most people say the story easily knocks down the grade by like 50.

There's a movie called Trollhunter from 2010. It's a Norwegian movie about three people who are investigating animal murders and they end up finding a guy who's been contracted by the government to track and eliminate trolls. Of course, they start out by not believing him and his story. But then he takes them with him on his hunts and they realize, yes, there are trolls out there.

The music is great, the story is great, the acting is wonderful and even though they did it as a "documentary" style movie, like Blair Witch, there's almost no shaky cam and you can actually see the action. The trolls are awesome and the special effects are fantastic and the movie is ambiguous right down to the wire at the very end. And it ends in a manner that had me sitting there on the couch for a few minutes after, trying to sort out my feelings.

Trollhunter. Go watch it. It's a good mix of drama, action, humor, and sci-fi/fantasy that will have you entertained for 90 minutes. It's underrated only in that not many people know of its existence. Go experience it.
