I don't keep track of how many games I have beaten even though I haven't beaten many of them. I definitely could do that if I wanted to, though.

Most of the games I've beaten I have used a walkthrough for, sadly.

I don't particularly keep track of how many games I've beaten, mostly because I don't spend time on one particular game enough to actually get good at it.

I can name a couple that I've beaten. The most memorable for me was the night I cleared the Sega arcade game Title Fight on one credit, and with only being knocked down once (in the last match). I played the GB version of Play Action Football to death until I finally won the Power Bowl as a kid (that took months). And I guess I could count Jeopardy! on the NES (which I recently recorded for my YouTube channel) because to me winning the match counts as beating the game. Besides, I did that one on the hard skill level, so why not count it?

But mostly I don't keep track much. I've never been much into the particular genres that can be considered beatable games much.

I used to keep track of how much progress I've made with my Steam games. I had organized the games in to level of completeness, but deleted all of those categories because it was a horrible way to arrange my game library. I'm thinking about creating a spreadsheet with games for all of my systems.

To answer your questions about Tetris, sports games, and Mario Party, I wouldn't count them either. On Steam they would've gone in to the "endless" category. This category is primarily devoted to multiplayer-exclusive games, (or games where multiplayer is the main focus,) rogue-likes, and games with infinite replayability. Some examples would be Minecraft, Arma, most MMOs, etc. I know that Minecraft and MMOs technically have an "end game," but the game doesn't really stop there, there's stuff to keep doing.

Zlinqx : Not remembering games was an issue at first. I've been keeping track for maybe 2 years now and I definitely "discovered" games I knew I had already beat. If my memory was at all shaky about it I would just rebeat the game.

CthulWho : I'm liking that "endless" category. Think I may start one for myself to help keep track.

I was recently told that if I see a credit screen role then I have beat that game. Regardless of era or genre. I disagreed immediately because of the Smash Bros series. Going through classic game mode one time to see credits isn't even close to counting "in my book" (haha literally).

Too many to count, really. I couldn't keep track of them if I tried (Well, I probably could if I started now) but I remember if I've beaten a game or not, so if I see a game I've beaten I'll remember.

Dragoon26 : You're spot on with the Smash Bros. example. There are some games where you need to "beat" it multiple times before you've really completed it. Fighting games are another example. I wouldn't consider it "beaten" until I've seen every character's storyline.
