As I walk along Route 3, wondering when my Cyndaquil is going to level up again, I decide to bully Vizzy900 once more so I order my Cyndaquil to use tackle on his or her Vaporeon. Do I need to have a level 10 pokemon to challenge gym trainers as well as the gym leader or just the gym leader?

As Vaporeon takes the hit from Gym Leader Mark Tyrunt's Bite ,i attack Gym Leader Mark's Tyrunt with my Vaporeon's Water Gun hopeing for a Critical Hit and then uses a potion to heal up my Vaporeon.

(I feel like everyone has forgotten about me. I've been searching for pokemon for days, and nothing new ever comes up. Everytime Zanderlex makes an update my name is never mentioned even though some of the people that help him say I'm searching. Did I die and become a ghost?)

zanderlex : I know one of these questions was probably answered, but if they all were, I don't remember what the answers are.

1. I know you mentioned something about leveling up to evolve pokemon that require trades to evolve. What level can I evolve my Swirlix?

2. These are about moves. What about stat lowering/raising or status inducing moves? Will stats be lowered or raised if they are used or are they pointless? Will status inducing moves be pointless as well or will they be effective? What about moves that restore hp like Absorb or Leech Seed & Ingrain? I know Absorb can cause damage, but Leech Seed acts more like a status move than a damage move & Ingrain just restores HP & you can't switch pokemon once it's used.... not that switching out really matters at the moment. Will any of the HP restoring moves be useful?

Wow, I need to stay more on top of the logs. I am pretty sure this is around two pages of everyone's posts. I thought Andae was going to have this covered during the day. I guess I must have got very engrossed in my conversation with Trainer Wade and not noticed that my Mudkip's attacks weren't hitting, because after several Water Guns on his 8 HP Geodude, it still hasn't fainted. In any case, I will go ahead and have Mudkip use Water Gun yet again. ( Maybe it will hit this time.)
