I have not caught a shiny Pokémon for at least ten years. The only shiny Pokémon I have ever caught was a shiny hoothoot.

Unfortunately, I have never found a shiny Pokémon in the wild, but I have gotten three over the GTS in White 2. I got a Shiny Lunatone, a Shiny Porygon-Z, and a Shiny Zoroark. I also got a Shiny Rayquaza from my friend, which he got from some Japanese player.

I have captured two shiny Pokémon the whole time I have played Pokemon. One was a Zubat in Soul Silver version and the other was a Zubat in Platinum version. I believe the one in my Platinum version is now a Crobat.

I caught two shiny pidgeys, a shiny ratatta, a shiny stunfisk, a shiny buneary, and a shiny miltank. I like the games pokemon diamond, pearl, platinum, x, and y, because they have the pokeradar. With the pokeradar you can chain for an easier chance to find a shiny, or find rare pokemon quickly. I usually play for hours upon hours, and sometimes I just get lucky. I love hunting for shiny pokes, and i love vizzed.com. I try to play it as often as possible, but sometimes, my brother kicks me off the computer so he can play his super hero games. I just use the computer for videos and vizzed.com. I have captured exactly two: My zangoose and my petilil. I am proud.

My first was a spearow in LeafGreen, but then my save state got erased somehow. Then came a pidgey in some unfinished Spanish hack of FireRed and then a rattata in Shiny Gold X. There was also a shiny graveler that exploded right after I encountered it (it was HeartGold I believe).
In my nuzlocking career I caught Harry, a shiny drowzee, who managed to die in his first battle and Ruth, the shiny graveler (Silver and Crystal respectively).
Of course there were a red gyarados from 2nd gen games and a shiny dratini from Benga but they don't count.

I caught 4 in my entire life. Three of them was from vizzed pokemon hacks. The 3 from here are Pidgey, rattata, and abra. The one I caught on pokemon crystal back like 10 years ago was Koffing lol. Ah good days.

Koda : A clefairy, a mew, a watchdog, a metagross, a suicune and entei from the event, and a shiny red gyrados from heartgold.

So far in my career, I've caught maybe one besides the "example" shiny we get in the later game, I just seem to have the worst luck of finding them.

Oh my gosh, I am so excited because I have now captured 5 shiny pokemon. 4 of which are in pokemon x, I have 2 shiny clawitzers, a shiny horsea, a shiny magikarp and also a shiny poliwhirl. I am working on getting a shiny relicanth at the moment. I use the chaining method which is for fishing and it is much more simple than the method of using the poke-radar. Basically all you have to do is find a good place to fish, preferably one with objects on either side so it is easy to make a catch. A good example would be the water area behind ambrette town. There are objects on 3 of the 4 sides, s your chances of getting a catch are increased. Anyway, back on topic, you need to get a pokemon with either suction cups, or sticky hold. Whichever one you want, they basically negate anything from escaping which will prevent you from getting the not even a nibble message thus increasing your chances for a shiny. 

There are a few things you cannot do when chaining however or your chain will break and you will have to start over.

- You cannot real it in too fast or your chain will break
- You cannot real it in too slow or it will break
- You cannot move from that tile or it will break


I am pretty sure if you catch the pokemon your chain won't break because you are still getting exp from it, however I am not 100% sure on it though. I have just run into a pokemon and then ran away and still encountered a shiny, so I think you would even be okay as long as you get a successful catch, your chain count will go up and your chance of getting a shiny go up with every catch you get. Only thing I can really tell you is to be patient because it does work and is my preferred method of getting shiny pokemon. 

I haven't gotten any without cheating... >w> So yea...

I have 5 shines all evolves form eevee water, electric, dark, fire, psychic watch I not sure how to spell them but I think its Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon.

Currently I haven't yet to catch a shiny in Pokémon Y yet I have caught a shiny caterpie in a Pokémon hack. It ended up evolving into butterfree as well which is pretty good.

I am now at 7 shiny pokemon that i have captured, 6 of which are from pokemon x which I have received from chain fishing. I am working on getting a shiny beldum, larvesta and honedge from the masuda method but I am at almost 60 eggs just trying to get a shiny  honedge. But I know it requires patience, plus I am really in no rush to get one. I just want one. I have also received a ton of foreign pokemon from japan, Spain, mexico, and I even have one from Germany and one from Canada, all of which I am eventually going to use to breed with my ditto from america and try to get a shiny out of it. Hopefully I can get lucky. But for now I have 7 shiny pokemon. No bad... 

I have seen 1 shiny Pokémon in all my time playing Pokémon. I have been playing since Leaf green but have played pretty much all the old games to completion and have yet to encounter more then 1.

I just wanted a mothim on my team and BOOM, a shiny burmy comes out of the egg. Too bad it's literally the same. Let's hope mothim's will be good.
