Today I got into a little accident. I missed my turn, but I went into a deadend street and did a u turn, then I was waiting so I can make my move and on the other side of the street there was a car turning so I let him pass, but as soon I went ahead some idiot doing atleast 50mph wouldn't stop me from going through, but I didnt slam on my accelerator so I could of pass the maniac, but I back up and didn't look in my rear view mirror and scraped some guys car because I didn't look in my mirrors. I got lucky because the guys car I scraped is one of those people who fixes cars and does paint jobs for a living and he didn't ask for insurance so lucky there too also. Couldn't get insurance yet because of money issues.

lol nah, just incase. Not all accidents have to be your fault. And if their not and you don't have insurance its good grounds for the other person to blame you. Car insurance is pretty cheap in the long run. Expensive at first. I had a Toyota Starlet insured by one company for $120AUD a month. Than moved it to another compay for $80AUD a month. Then i got my new car a Mitsibishi Magna and the insurance went down to $60AUD which is REALLY cheap since my cars a V6 and the other car was a 4 Cylinder.

It depends, in australia anyway, on alot of things. Car, Make, Model, license type, number of drivers, safety features of the car. Those sort of things can make it go either way... for example comparing my car to bobs

he has like a 1980's ford... It runs on Gas, doesnt have power steering or ABS breaks. It has a driver air bag. (I think) And its driven only be a Probationary driver.

I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Magna Executive. It has Driver and Passenger Air bags. Power Steering and ABS Brakes. It also has an Engine Immobilizer and required a special, electronic key to open it. Its driven by a Learner Driver (considered to be safe drivers here) and a Provisional 2 driver (like Probationary but due to different states it has a different name. Difference is P2 drivers are treated as full licensed drivers).

My car, will always be cheaper to insure, but the company we went to was a competative insurance company. You show them what one company will do and they will do better, its what they live for :p

It has power steering and full electrics. No airbags. My car is from back in the day when I dont even think seat belts were manditory... or there abouts (didnt need them in 1969 i know for sure because thats my dads car).

I dont think yours would be cheaper to insure, yours would be worth about 6 times (how much was it, i was assuming 6 grand) more than mine. Thus, its more valuble and more to insure.

Largest part of Australia may be desert, but people still live there and work there. One of australias richest men owns a mine in the middle of nowhere. He employs a rediculus amount of people (5 thousand or more i think..) and they still need more workers.

Just because the soil is infertile just measn we cant grow stuff there. Its infertile because of lack of water AND the fact that there are alot of salt lakes out there (and kangaroos). I think australias land is still divided up for the aboriginals (natives) to have there tribes, so we cant use that land anyway.

These days insurance companys look at the safety features of the car to reduce the cost. This car is more expensive than the last, and when i insured the last they didnt ask how many Kms it had done or the amount i paid for it. Your theory of 'cost' is wrong.
