Specialty is really only about 1.1 times the power, iirc.
So if you were a hero it'd be better to get a stone axe than a steel sword.
If you had the axe you'd probably have 2 more atk, so if you think that's enough to buy the axe then go for it.

KiddoCabbuses : SDY is correct. It's a small multiplier to your attack power. Ultimately, multipliers may end up more useful than straight weapon power in the end, but for now? Weapon Power is probably a better boost.
