It's literally impossible.

Advancing past the elite four requires you to save your game, but you can't save in game with the RGR Plugin, because of the M1 Circuit board.

This is a common problem, but it won't be fixed anytime soon I don't think. Just keep a save file before the elite four.

There are hack versions of the game that are absolutely no different except for the fact that pokemon in both versions are available (so you can catch them all since we can't trade with each other via emulator) and the mystery cave is available to you before you beat the Elite 4. The only fix to your problem is to play that hack version.
