I've been meaning post this question a while back. We know there are plenty of games/sports that are played internationally all over the world. But I was wondering if Earth had sport or game to represent it what would it be? To get a better idea of what I'm asking think about the Final Fantasy series. For those who have played them you know that in the later games there were mini-games for each that the residents on that world played. FF9 had a card game (and I'm pretty sure FF8 did as well). In Final Fantasy 10 Blitzball was the major sport of that world.

Of all the things played here on Earth what's the one played the most? Going by the number of countries that have it, and the because it may have been around the longest, I would go with Chess. Maybe you have a different idea, like football (soccer) since it's widely popular in many countries. Or maybe a playing card game is more common.

Well, if we are talking sport of the world then Soccer/Football easily. Everyone around the world plays it.... and anyone can play it as long as they have a ball. That's all you really need. Doesn't get much better than that.

In total, I would think it would be running. Everyone does it like it or not. Almost all sports require at least a little running, so running would have to be the World's Sport.

Both answers are good. Soccer or running are the two world sports. Everyone knows soccer or has played it. And EVERYONE runs. Little kids have races, play tag, sprint, and it continues throughout life.
