I was like 7. It was Pokémon Sapphire. I got it for Christmas from my Aunt and my Mom (had to take one copy back to the store lol.) I loved that game so I bought Silver, Crystal, Fire Red. Glad I did.

Awwww, I recall perfectly my first time playing a Pokémon game <3
It was summer 2001, and I was 7. My dad gifted me Pokémon Silver and I absolutely fell in love with it!
I got pretty lucky in that gameplay too, got Totodile, Eevee and Togepi all females and found a female shiny Butterfree <3
Playing it was basically all I did in my free time, dunno if it's 'cause I'm a girl and had basically no friends, but I got VERY attached to my Pokémon, as they were my friends or pets.
When the game resetted I was 9/10, and I literally started crying...but I still remember all of my pixel babies and still love them. Silver is still my fav game too, and I'm so happy that they decided to do the remake, especially 'cause I can see my Pokémon partner following me! (even if it doesn't have the whole old, nostalgic, retro feeling and the awesomeness of Silver <3)
