Eevee, I would totally love an Eevee, they are just so darn fluffy! Not very original as  favorite Pokémon go, but Eevee makes my top ten, along with Vaporeon.  Other Pokémon I would like as a pets would be Cyndaquil(as Johto was always my favorite region, and Cyndaquill is the starter I love for that one),  Ekans or Dratini. I have a thing for snake like Pokémon

I would chose Mew! Mew is so cute, Mew is pink, looks like a cat, has cute eyes  and most of all Mew can do anything. You can fly on Mew, you can surf on Mew and you can use any Pokémon move. No one would ever mess with you if you had a little pink creature that could smash rocks, make it rain, and cause an avalanche.

I would pick a Zigzagoon for several reasons:

~It's adorable!
~It's extremely common (in its native region Hoenn), so I wouldn't be pestered by people wanting to trade for it.
~It's a great HM Slave. (I mean, it learns Surf for Arceus's sake!)
~It couldn't kill me in my sleep if it disliked me.
~If it had the ability Pickup I'd get random items by just walking around.
~In my real-life copy of Emerald it was the first Pokemon I ever caught, so it's always been pretty special to me.

Speaking purely in a pet sense, I would probably choose a Growlithe for a pet, as they are loyal, energetic, and make excellent guard dogs, as they can set burglars and such on fire, or at least just bark and bite at them non stop until they go away. =)

Of course I'd have to fireproof everything in the house, but that's the price for having a fire-type in your home!  It would be well worth it though to have a Growlithe for a pet.
