I can swim far, but not that far. I mean, if I have to swim very far, then I would go for it. If it is just a race to see who can go the farthest, then maybe I wouldn't try that hard. I am not really a swimmer, but at least I know how.

I can barely swim anymore. I used to be able to do laps and was good at it, but after getting my sternum fractured and my rib cage indented, it's really hard to hold my breath with any kind of pressure on me, like the pressure in water. I get out of breath really quickly and have to surface so often that doggy paddling is my fastest way of swimming.

I used to be able to swim pretty well, when I was about 12. I think I could do about four or five laps. I could also do a whole bunch of dives. Then I stopped taking lessons and quit swimming as if it were a sport. Now I just use my pool as an excuse to lie in the sun and/or spray my sisters with the garden hose.

I'm a pretty good swimmer with strong stamina so I can swim pretty long distances at a good pace. I use to be on a swim team when I was in school so I learned some good techniques and such to help me swim for distance, for speed, etc.
