If you like online multiplayer, 360 has the best quality service. Its not free, but it is very well designed and is optimal for connecting with other people online.

I tend to prefer the PS3 games because I'm a loner. It has a diverse set of exclusives Ie: LittleBigPlanet, Uncharted 1/2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Heavy Rain, Killzone 2.
They grab me more than Halo and Gears of War, though I enjoy those games with friends. I also prefer the Dualshock 3 controller.

Whichever system you own, I think there are tons of great games.

My favourite developers?

On the PC, Bioware and Looking Glass studios (R.I.P) were my favorite.

Konami, I love for Metal Gear, Silent Hill, and anything Contra related.

Are social programs really so bad? I love the universal Health care in my country. I argue that the quality of treatment is not as sub-standard as people think. In dense urban areas wait times can occur, but patients are prioritized based on their urgency and it is rarely the case that someone with a life threatening problem will be denied any kind of attention.
Outside of big cities like Toronto, like in my local city of Ottawa, I can feel comfortable walking in to an emergency room and receive treatment in a reasonable amount of time. If you travel to small towns outside the city, they will take you with no delay. The whole system is very non-invasive, and privacy of your personal information is championed. Not to mention that it is all free, whether its a cut or a heart transplant.

Human nature dooms us. We always want to have more or be more than someone else. In World of Warcraft there are millions of someone else's out there, as well as a near endless supply of loot to collect, and various ways to improve your character and make it better. Some people get caught in it, and will at times loose themselves in it all.

I am much more sentimental toward offline games. The stories and the characters that are created are much more involving for me. Every so often I venture into online gaming, which is fun, but I just don't get the experiences that capture my imagination.
With friends around though, it is great to have fun together. I really like co-op play especially. Some games are doing it very well these days.

Despite the action packed cinematics in the beginning, FFXIII starts off rather slowly. It took me quite a few hours before I was able to start enjoying myself properly, which is a shameful design.
However, since the leash came off of the battle system and the story elements finally came together I have been finding a lot to love. Its quite a beautiful experience, with characters that grow on you as you make your way through the story.
I would say that it lives up to the Final Fantasy name, in my opinion.

Its a tough choice, but I enjoy the flat out insanity of Silent Hill more. It uses subtlety and atmosphere in a way that is unique and tense. Silent Hill 2 was my favorite, and its story was very adult, mature, and psychological. It was anything but straight forward, so I spent a lot of time analyzing the themes and drawing out profound ideas about life. Certainly not something everyone can appreciate, but I dig it.

I enjoy pretending to hump dead bodies in Metal gear solid 2 or 3. The way you drag bodies around just looks dirty.

I am happy with my DS Lite thank you. For people that don't have a DS yet, they might appreciate the choice of a bigger screen. There isn't much to talk about though.
