I was in an accident (bike vs car) when coming home from a friend's house. A lot of my N64 games got pretty banged up but pretty much everything played right. Those things were really built to last.

I remember there being a way to view a list of everything that I've played from the RGR but for the life of me I can't seem to find it anymore. Did this ever exist or am I just misremembering?

I think superman wins. while I think goku is definitely faster I don't it's fair to say that superman is slow, he's faster than a speeding bullet remember? Also I think that superman has a greater health. The one time I recall that he was "killed" his body merely went into hibernation until it could be rejuvenated, it wasnt destroyed and he was simply resting. I think he could fight much longer and if it becomes a war of attrition then goku will lose. Also, I think that goku's spirit bomb is neutralized by the fact that most people would not be willing to give up their life energy to fight against superman. And yes, kryptonite can easily beat Superman but Goku would have to acquire it and not succumb it its effects also (it doesnt just hurt superman, it hurts everyone, just more slowly). I dont think its a clear cut battle but I think that superman's ability to wear goku down over a period of time and the fact that he is infinitely powerful (sun never runs out whereas goku can be drained down) give him a distinct edge.

I absolutely loved them both. I found myself more engaged with Fallout 3 though. I think the problem with Oblivion for me was that I felt less compelled to do main quest. Also the leveled enemies in Oblivion felt stronger and that you could easily ruin the main quest by not doing it and having to face enemies that were far beyond the levels of the AI supposed to be working with you. While this can happen in Fallout 3 I think that the player is better able to cope with the increasing difficulty as you play. I did like the cities much more in oblivion and do feel that VATS can get repetitive but so does blocking with a shield and then striking with your sword. The thing I loved about VATS was your ability to modify it with perks. In the end, I think I loved fallout 3 a little more and found myself playing it more and not being as frustrated with the ability to carry things.

I think that the GBA had a ton of awesome games and while its not the most retro system it would be wrong to say that not having is no big deal. That being said, I think that the SNES is more important, more retro, and just great to have. Hope to see GBA into the future though!

I've had my last 2 PC's customized by a third party and my laptop as well. There came a point when I just decided that without customization the machine simply wouldn't run well enough. While I have done some modifications after the fact, I find that now with the customizations I'm much happier for much longer.

I'm going to say Sims 3 on the basis that Spore rushes you through the first several stages and then you play the galactic phase for much longer than anything else. I the whole experience of evolutions felt like it was simply over too quickly

Its all part of the development and the console cycle. If Sony went back on its promise of the 10 year cycle then yes, I image people would be mad. And its not truely fair to compare consoles, there is just a natural progession as with anything. From mainframes to PCs to Laptops to smart phones. There is just a progession. Having recently played both GoW and GoW3 I can say that the PS3 lets you do a lot of things that simply werent possible with the PS2. GoW will still be a great game and I have the PS3 with backwards compatability so I never felt cheated, after awhile I just started playing more PS3 games and found that a lot of my PS2 collection found itself in an awkward place were it was dated but not so dated as to be nostalgic. I hope Sony does keep to the 10 year cycle but I think they will develop a new console when they have sufficient technological distance between the two. The leap from PS2 to 3 is huge, so was the leap from xbox and 360, GC to Wii not so much but thats another debate.

I think it also matters which 50 games you buy. While some games are simply more popular than others if you're just buying shovelware then no you are not a hardcore gamer and might not even be a collector (depending on what your collection is supposed to be) on the other side I own an Atari 2600 just to own it and have a piece of the history. I think that a hardcore gamer is someone who plays a lot of games and understands something deeper than the surface level of games and can appreciate gameplay, design, narrative, and the conventions of the game. Not all hardcore gamers are collectors are vice versa. I think that they arent mutually exclusive but they are both rather subjective.

I think that the VGA's are kind of stupid. It's great that we get to see some trailers or game footage for upcoming releases but for the most part it's games that are all about violence and action (which I love) but don't care for narrative or style. It's just a popular vote and it seems like some great stand out games accidentally win some awards, a majority go to games that were good but not amazing. The show panders to sex and ultra violence and then celebrity appeal, it just doesn't feel like its about the games. IGN and the likes do a much better job.

How do they not have a "platformer" category?
Also, they've given away awards for being "the big name in the game"...an award for being the biggest celebrity in a game in that given year...the awards are a joke and frankly rather insulting to video gaming as a whole.

So what do you do if you have enough Vizz but it says that you cannot play a game?

Gungrave was the last anime I saw, looooove the way that show was put together and how the story ends. It's made by a lot of the same team that made Trigun although I have yet to watch it.

I think that graphics can have a serious effect on a game. It's the little things that make me happy as a gamer, when you can see that careful attention was paid to subtle aspects, like how something is animated very well. While its not the defining factor, bad graphics can really distract from amazing narrative and gameplay. There are plenty of great games with "terrible" graphics and terrible games with great graphics, its just one aspect but it is a meaningful one.
