jlove92 : Oh this wasn't meant to be some kind of tip, especially since it seems my layout doesn't actually show up in threads because of this exploit being used anymore. I posted this more so that it can be fixed, since it's clearly unintentional.

It used to work just fine, and it still does show up in the layout editor and when I preview a post, but inside threads it appears to be thrown out (as can be seen in the two posts in this thread) (a moderator can probably check the layout I have equipped right now and see that it works in the layout editor just fine?).
Interesting! But the bug is still there!

Hope this is the right place to post this.
Basically, you can rename any file to .png and upload it to vizzed's Photo Album, there's no verification for it actually being an image as far as I can tell (which honestly is a very quick fix).

I've been using this for the past 2-3 years to use external css/php in my layouts, by uploading a .css file with contents like these to the Photo Album, renamed to .png (as can be seen here) and then @import'ing the Photo Album image through a relative link instead of an absolute one, which the URL filter can't detect. Meaning that I just changed the URL from "https://www.vizzed.com/boards/../smd/photo_album_pics/fullsize/281180-1479155328.png" to "/boards/../smd/photo_album_pics/fullsize/281180-1479155328.png", which browsers will look for on the current domain (eg vizzed.com).
The .css file it imports also executes some php on my server, allowing that effect on my layout where the background colors are different on every refresh (and the star tilts slightly differently). This isn't dangerous to vizzed at all since the php is running on my server, not vizzed's, so don't worry. Some other sites that allow for layouts allow this by default, that's how safe it is.
To check the code in the photo I uploaded, just save it to your desktop and rename it to .css or .txt and open it in a text editor.

As sort of a relief, I did try to upload and run php on vizzed using this, but I couldn't get that to work. This is the file I tried to mess with for the record, you can save it just like the earlier file and check out the code, it's just very simple css output.
I didn't really try much of anything else because I figure after the last time we managed to shut the site down you patched out javascript execution and if vizzed doesn't use php then I'd just waste my time trying to figure out what else, but still it might be wise to fix the uploader to actually verify images, just in case.

(edit: This below stuff actually doesn't work because while my layout shows up in the layout editor and during thread previews, it doesn't actually work when viewing a thread, so nevermind that!)
Fun fact: If you click this link, my layout will actually start animating a lot more. You can't put links in signatures on vizzed, so I couldn't put that anywhere, but I figured I'd mention it here to show what kind of stuff remote php enables. (clicking it again undoes it)
Again, harmless because the php is running on my server and not vizzed.

I can't believe people actually believe things like that lol, people didn't only start being scared of bigots in power when this election started, you know.

Because I dislike keeping people in the dark and don't need my trust points anyway, and david didn't tell me to keep quiet or anything: it was me and a friend of mine who did the thing. You know, the one with the hacking into some accounts and accidentally making david take vizzed down for a day.

shakescakes297 : Because my friend found a way to do so in like 10 minutes after me telling him about another (unrelated) oddity, there wasn't any deeper reason or malicious motive behind it.

gamerforlifeforever2 : In case you actually care, we actually never really got to sensitive information.
I mean sure we got to read the staff forums and quite a few people's PM inboxes, but there wasn't really anything interesting in there. Or well, I guess it just wasn't interesting to me as a relative outsider to the community, I'm sure people more in the know would've had a field day with these reports and playdates (mostly for minecraft and smash bros).

Fireproof : Mostly what we did was make staff send each other the word "cuck" and confusing the heck out of them.
The site going down was mostly us not thinking far enough that that's probably the appropriate response to having staff accounts compromised, so it really wasn't intended to happen.
Oh and we moved a single thread to a different forum, nobody seems to have noticed so far.

EX Palen : It's not like we're innocent, people are free to be mad at us for taking the site down for a day, though getting to play 100 games for free is pretty good compensation I'd say.
And.. that's not quite all we did, when we first got into 2 accounts we actually emptied their Viz balance, which is probably the most "destructive" thing we did. I refunded them their Viz by now though, so that too shouldn't be much of a problem.

Scohui : Just a little fun is correct, practicing probably not so much.
Didn't think this moves, huh?

My layout works again, so I'd say the style tag problem is fixed now.

Your PlayStation wasn't taken from you in the hacking, what I think actually happened is that you bought another item (the game accelerator) and put it into the same slot as the PlayStation item, thus overwriting it.
It's a bit silly that that happens, but the top does warn you about it.

The image doesn't work, so I'm not sure what part of your bra is showing, but if it's just the straps, then I wouldn't really worry about it, I've seen dozens of people walk around with those visible.
It's not like it's a secret that you wear a bra, everyone does it.

I was convinced that Russia was located on the moon, because of some russian cartoon that I can't remember and didn't really understand that I watched as a kid, that somehow gave me the impression that it all happened on the moon.

I was shocked to find out Russia is in fact an earth country.

I mostly enjoy all the positivity around here, rare to see that on the internet.

Not that much into all the debating and serious talk, but that's mostly because I have a pretty good idea of what I believe and don't really think it's all that important to get other people to believe what I believe.

Do you still have Guardian of Light, Hatoful Boyfriend, Duke Nukem 3D and Double Dragon Neon?

If so, I'll take em for 55k (pretty much all I have left)!

Here's hope for more to come in the future!

It's definitely a good idea to rebrand their browser, considering "IE sucks" has become pretty much a meme by now, even though the most recent versions aren't actually as terrible as IE used to be by far.
Not up to par with Firefox and Chrome, but definitely not as bad any more as people still made it out to be.

And realistically Spartan probably is just going to be IE12 with a different name and skin, so cutting off old bad publicity is smart, and who knows, maybe it really is going to be great.

When it's a discussion/debate, definitely, I wouldn't wanna look like an idiot by repeating a bunch of points people already brought up.
More lighthearted threads like these, eh, I just poke around the pages a bit and read a few responses, especially if I notice someone I know or see an eyecatching post, but other than that, not really much reading going on. Especially not if there's a ton of unread pages to go through.

I used to play this when I was a youngen, but haven't played in a long time.

All the new stuff looks very interesting, planeswalkers et al (those JUST came out when I quit), and my brother started playing a month or so ago again, so maybe I'll start playing at some point again too.

Last month there was a Friday the 13th as well, so 2 months in a row followed by St. Patty's is a little weird indeed.

Happy St. Patrick's day everyone anyway, don't get too drunk if you're planning on going out!

Someone should probably write that down somewhere around the layout editor, it's.. not exactly intuitive.

Oh, shrug, I planned on giving the Viz away in the generosity thread anyway before I stumbled over this, so even if you didn't refund (which you probably would've anyway) it'd have been fine.

Besides, I made sure to scan every page for whether someone bought Volgarr, thought that would've been enough. I'll keep that in mind next time anyway, sorry about that.
