I made sure to go out in a blazing glory!!! Although I'm not sure what supposed third jersey I won? Maybe there's a new Purple Banner for Most Notifications considering I was inundated with 1 Viz?

My own thread about Ravering has the proof I was on fire at least. I lost it pretty much instantly since I was still around when the server reset last night... I should've made sure to stay logged out at least until David posted the results here to immortalize it in this thread. I'll bring the smaller screenshot over here too:


Competition was fierce for individual banners, and I was probably only "unstoppable" for the overall competition because no one else was really competing for all jerseys like I was. If there were a few other people going all-out, this would not have been nearly as one-sided as the chart might make it look. I'm not going to discredit the work I put in by saying "I probably wouldn't have won" though - there were several times I was holding back as well, so everyone's even. I earned this for sure!!!

I'll probably? participate in the next TDV but I'm not sure I'll aim for Rainbow or anything, and it'll be moreso an effort to reach 5000 posts like geeo was doing for 30k. I'm pretty happy just being able to say I won one at all.

Anyway, now I can be thankful I'm not staff and take a break for a little while. After yesterday I'm not sure I'm gonna have anywhere to post for a couple weeks at least lol

geeogree: There's no way I could have gone to 150 without you coming in halfway throughout the day and going on a spree yourself. I was starting to resign myself to probably not being able to get the fire username since yesterday was evidently much higher than usual at 122, but seeing you come in halfway through the day revitalized me a bit by giving me quite a few more spots to plop into one more time. I helped you hit 30k so there was some equivalent exchange there!

Funny thing is there's still a few more places I think I could post... I bet I could've hit 200 (with the help of creating a lot more threads) if I wasn't working for half of the day. It's very possible! But will someone have both the willpower and also the absolutely-nothing-better-to-do that I had today?!

I'd also like to mention that I wrote almost 13000 words today! So you can be sure I sure was making sure all my posts were still (mostly) coherent and had actual thought put behind them!

I can't reply to the TDV thread right now since Elites can only post in there once a day, but even though I didn't have a whole lot of competition for Rainbow, I still had a lot of fun doing this. I just wanted to go out in a blazing FIRE!!!!! I intended to only get 100 posts today, but I expected to hit a fire username by then, but then it didn't happen so I kept going... I think it was 122? And at that point I decided well flip, let me just hit 150 lol. Shout out to the fact that I play Pokemon occasionally because this definitely would not have been possible without that forum and my passable knowledge on it lol.

I'm not sure if this is a personal record or not? I think so. I know I've done 100 multiple times in the past, at least. Go me!

Edit to add proof:

I typically go to either Publix or Harris Teeter for most of my grocery shopping, and I typically go about once a week. One time is ideally for the rest of the week, and the theoretical second time will be if I missed anything or ran out of something that I went through faster than I expected - greek yogurt is a big one there. I tend to inhale that stuff sometimes and end up needing an extra container lol.

OVERRATED is a tough call to make... I honestly can't think of a lot of Pokemon where I feel like there's a "common consensus" as to who is the best or near it.

A lot of my friends tend to glaze Aegislash though and I don't really agree. I'm sure I'm "using him wrong" or he's "better in competitive" but he doesn't seem very fun during normal playthroughs to me. I don't really care for the design either.

Funny enough, although I think it's not very good in a game design standpoint, I think Unova would be a neat place to live IRL. The circular design meaning everything is connected would make travel pretty easy as long as you're a somewhat capable Pokemon trainer, while still having some neat areas and cities to check out.

I don't really care for a lot of the legendaries that have come from DLC for any of the applicable gens, but that could be in part due to a lack of exposure as I haven't played any DLC for gen 8 or 9.

If I had to pick one for a gen that I actually do have exposure to... I don't really care for the Gen 5 horse legendaries, especially Terrakion and Virizion. Cobalion is fine though and I do like Keldeo (mythical).

While trying my best to not ask where these flames are coming from, I tank it, but I've now noticed you've singed off all my arm hair. How dare you! I worked hard on that!

I use Surf not only at the next user, but also in the whole area to put out the fires that Furret has caused.

Hmmm... how about Celebi? I feel it's a strong contender for the latter two points:

• Only found in that forest area I got no clue what it's called lol


• First Pokemon to come from an event-related item, the GS Ball, as I think Mew in Gen 1 was just implanted into your box, there was no actual encounter.

And with the former point I'm just guessing based off the fact it's weak to Ice lol.

Okay I'm editing this one. For some reason I read Incineroar and thought about Emboar lol

So ACTUALLY answering Incineroar, I don't think it's a very interesting concept of a Pokemon. And why is it also on two legs again?! The CAT did not need to get up!! I don't think I'll complain about him NOT being Fire-Fighting but it's pretty silly that he isn't when he probably fits it the most out of the other fire starters who fit it less than he does (like who I was originally thinking of, Emboar). Overall I think he would've been more interesting on two legs, and keeping with the dark typing, go moreso toward some sort of black cat unlucky myth thing.

Also he's a bastard of a Smash character.

The next Pokemon to hate on is Centiskorch

I always answer this question with Hydreigon. Ever since playing the original BW games I've loved that thing's design and usually always include it in parties in games where it's available.

Runner-ups would be Sylveon and Dialga, I think. Maybe Mewtwo too?

As ongoing video game franchises continue on and on, sometimes the newer iterations can lose old-time fans and they eventually move on. Could be because the games stopped offering what they enjoyed, or the quality of the games stopped being good... I think everyone has at least one story.

For me I stopped being a Yakuza fan at Yakuza 8. It's a bit sad too because I actually really like the combat in that game, but the story is actually atrocious. It's almost the opposite of Yakuza 7 funny enough - that game had an incredible story but very mediocre gameplay. However I enjoyed Yakuza for their ongoing plotline silly dramatic stories, but I feel like 8 kinda just flopped on a lot of points by refusing to allow the new main character to actually be a main character, and then refused to give a satisfying ending after an extremely rushed end sequence (especially on Ichiban's side). I remember finishing the game, even including the very end segment, going "...that's it?" and I've never had a desire to play any of the new games since then. I've heard the 3 remake and the 0 "director's cut" they did recently makes some incredibly silly retcons too... no idea what they're doing with that franchise, but I'm glad I bailed out early.

How about you guys? Any series that you used to like but not so much on the more recent titles?

I really love Florence + The Machine's cover of Stand By Me that was made for Final Fantasy XV. I really enjoy the original song too but something simply hits different about the cover to me.

My favorite song ever since I heard it for the first time would be Saeed from Infected Mushroom. I'm pretty sure there used to be a favorite song thread before this one, and I'm sure if you dig deep enough into it you'll see me answer it the same way lol. I've gained a few second places since then though... To The Edge from Final Fantasy XIV, Giorgio by Morodor (by Daft Punk), The Human Molecule by Parius are a few good ones.

I discovered Kyle Gordon's parody songs a week or two ago and I've been obsessed over his parody Eurovision song Planet of the Bass. It's absurdly catchy, and keeps getting stuck in my head randomly throughout the day lol

I'm gonna one-up my previous post and actually say I've gained a little patience these days... I'm much more willing to give anime a little longer to fully hook me, as long as I at least thing the concept is interesting, or if I have someone vouching for it who I know I can trust their taste. To put a number on it though I don't think I'd push past an initial Season 1 (so about 12 episodes?) though.

I only have exposure to a few but I do feel like Netflix had quite a few last time I was browsing through the anime list with my sister. That said I have a very surface level knowledge of ongoing popular anime so I can only really say, yeah all the anime I see people talk about are here!

I guess if you're EXPLICITLY looking for anime then something like Crunchyroll is probably best bang for your buck - I'm just considering most people who would probably want other things besides just anime, but also INCLUDING anime.
