To bad I don't know you in real life I have 2 foil english G1 Charmanders and 1 foil G1 japanese charmander. To bad I don't know you in real life I have 2 foil english G1 Charmanders and 1 foil G1 japanese charmander. -------------------- |

Its tough, dragonair has a long way to go. I guess what makes my team better is the fact I have a lot of good HM moves taught to them. I also have a L30 haunter in my box however without being able to evolve it ill just use it to capture legendary pokemon by mean look followed by hypnosis. My nidoqueen actually knows good moves like Ice punch I think and a couple other stuff that gives it great diversity but you are right its normal skill set isn't that great. -------------------- |

How is ratata and ditto forgotten. For the first hour of each generation through 3 all you see is ratata. Ditto, always needed for breeding and still fun to have a level 96 ditto. Skarmory really. The only reason he could be considered forgotten is because he is a rare flying pokemon that can only be found in one spot with a what is it 1% chance at day time. Ratata is your best one because one of the key parts is that a forgotten pokemon must be weak.
I'd say for a pokemon it needs to be weak, common but only in one-two spots like grimer, unevolved, and an original. For those of us who only play G1-2, you usually never forget G2 pokemon because they are new so to speak. Are you just spam posting these new threads so that you can get extra vizz each time we post. Seems like all your doing the first two times it was fine but then all you do is copy paste as many pokemon related stuff as you can your favorite item pokemon gym leader blah blah blah and this being your 1000th thread stop it. Im getting sick of coming to the pokemon area and not being able to find a thread not spam posted by you. -------------------- |

I played yellow a lot, now only crystal because I can't stand how old the graphics are on yellow and this is coming from a person who plays all types of retro games like Lords of Magic, classic Diablo etc etc. Still I like it a lot more then any other game. Some day they might give a wifi version of it a shot for the wii, there is another thread for that but it is something to look forward too.
I remember I swapped starter pokemon all the time, then I would either go with spearow or pidgey as my first catch. I would usualy get a quick buterfree before the first gym badge. Typically had a nidoking or queen right after MT. Moon. Because you give it the stone right at 16 so it learns the good moves. I remember the item glitch to get infinite rare candies etc. Also remember getting Mew twice however I forget exactly how I did it, so I can't help you out there. Not one cheat used, not one rare candy used, all natural pokemon crystal group as I arrive into blackthorn city. Over 20 hours games time some hardcore training happened throughout the game. I had a tough time choosing my team this time to be honest. I like to make it different every time and it is annoying because it is difficult to get your hands on evolution stones before badge 8 or the elite four.
The only way to get the stones is via phone call at this point in the game and believe you me I spent a lot of time battling the people in my phone list. Can't tell you how many times I beat anthony's level 18 machamp. Free 800 EXP w00t. Some problems limit my ability to create the team I want everytime. I have no access to scizor or steelix etc because I have no one to trade with in RL and no access to any of the 4 trade evolution pokemon which is sad because machamp golem and alakazam are awesome. I finally got a moon stone and finally got a water stone after a while plus the sun stone from the contest however I am not using sunflora this time around. Please excuse spelling on some of these pokemon I am a graduate student and don't spend much time on spelling fake words. Team Maganium Level 39 Didn't want to start with my usual cyndaquil as that gets old. Good fire types available anyways and excellent water types available at all times. Pidgeot Level 36, I decided to stick with pidgeot this time around as it is a powerful pokemon and saves me substituting to fly around. Poliwrath Level 35, left poliwhirl at level 28 for a while until I got the stone, swapped kingler for this beasty fella. Magmar Level 35, well I didn't want to spend a thousand years trying to get a fire stone as well and magmar easily competes with my all time favorite ninetales in my opinion. Fire punch is just brutal from magmar. Ampharos Level 35, well to be honest its my number three choice and electabuzz and pikachu are only in kanto. Still a great pokemon, fairly basic build Dragonair level 35, thats right I bought one at the game corner after a while plus 2 trip sevens for a few hundred coins and leveled him up like crazy. Wow dratini is hard to level and can do nothing. All tmed moves at first so he could do damage. Also I wanted to move away from the typical player using red gyrados because you get it at level 30 and it is a dragon type. I put effort in here. Mentioned the moon stone, well after giving "mom" a lot of money she finally got it for me after 24 hours of play, now I have a level 24 Nidoqueen sitting in my PC box. I wanted to actually use it but the beautiful thing called hyperbeam is not learned for a while and I didn't feel like taking pidgeot out as usual this time around. I think I did very good before getting Badge #8 and I think claire is in serious trouble. Like to keep my pokemon all around the same level however I got carried away while training once so thats why magnaium is almost 40. Just kinda spaced out non stop fighting tentacruels which give you great exp. 700 a pop which is higher then most anywhere. Other good training spots include like seakings which are a mediocre 500 exp a pop some gravelers which are good for 500+ exp however occasionally annoy you by blowing your pokemon sky high. Fighting camper todd when he gets a golduck gives you great exp too. Also fisher ralph once he hits a seaking. Trainers will be your best exp for the game once they get enough calls to where they actually level their pokemon. Never seen anything prior above a level 25 seaking from him though, wonder if after a year of playing they ever hit 50 or something lol The only way to get the stones is via phone call at this point in the game and believe you me I spent a lot of time battling the people in my phone list. Tough call, at first I thought of Hitmonchan because it destroys so many types of pokemon and unlike hitmonlee it can kill ghost pokemon, however poilwrath is just so superior to both being a double type and its an ultimate evolved pokemon so its stats are slightly better then the other too especially in HP. Its dynamic punch wins in one hit most all of the time and even if it doesn't they have a 50% chance of killing themselves afterwards. -------------------- |

I think Wii makes a lot of money from classic games and interactive games more so then anything else. Sure COD Black Ops flew off the shelves but anyone who has the option of playing that on Wii or something like that or that in PS3 will always chose PS3 just because its more natural that way. Could you imagine if they came out with Pokemon Yellow or Crystal for Wii, with new features and interactive game play that included the option of battling as your pokemon or just simply keeping it the gameboy color style. It would be a big hit and money maker for them, but a lot of work as well and for Wii they are not focusing on that so much right now as how to keep it competing with Xbox Live and PS3 for Shooter games and what not since Wii is still in last place for those types of games and thats where the money is.
Will they stop coming out with new crap pokemon games that border on making them lose money and just go back to yellow and crystal for wii in the feature, possibly but I wouldn't hold my breath. Every pokemon game since the GBC/DS has been a complete failure for them, Reviews never go above 6/10 and they never make money like other games for them. Just how it is right now and for the next year they have no plans on changing that, farther out I cannot comment on as there is no public information available on that. I have to agree misty is the best out of all the women mainly because G1/2 are the best, I would of stopped watching G3 if brock hand't joined in a lot sooner. I never watched anything after that. I would still have to go with ash because thats just what pokemon is. When you say pokemon you hear ash pikachu, squirtle, charmander, and bulbasaur nothing else. At least for people 20 years or older. -------------------- |

Mew is pretty great but I don't feel like chosing a legendary pokemon. Alakazam is probably the strongest and only one that can compete with legendary pokemon but I would have to go with Mr.Mime just because it can be powerful and lots of fun to get one seeing as how they are difficult to get your hands on and can typically only be traded for. -------------------- |

Despise all pokemon after G3 I'll have to go with Magneton because it is a very powerful electric and steel pokemon. It gets good stats and when he gets leveled up into the 60s his thunder is shocking -------------------- |

shuckle I can agree on the rest now, qwilfish is just powerful, dunsparce is rare so no one forgets about him especially when trying to fill up a pokedex, stantler can be, his evolved form is never forgotten.
And I don't think because you use grimer in pokemon stadium doesn't mean its not forgotten. No pokemon is forgotten in stadium because you can pick any level 50 or 100 pokemon up whenever you want to battle with. This is based off the GB GBC DS etc. The real pokemon games not nintendo's failures. And I don't think because you use grimer in pokemon stadium doesn't mean its not forgotten. Grimer is pretty forgotten although I think he is awesome. Magikarp is forgotten by most because he does nothing. Kangaskhan is pretty forgotten, because they are almost impossible to get your hands on and your luck if you get one in yellow version in the safari since they only have a 5-10% appearance rate. -------------------- |

I only played through generation II heavily and very little generation III, In generation one I had all 151 on all three versions, although yellow was my good one with them being highly leveled, loved being able to glitch infinite rare candies using the fly trick.
Generation II I caught all 251/achieved all 251 on crystal. I probably hit about 180+ on each gold and silver. Never really played into G3 although some emerald, quit after badge 3. Thought double duals were dumb and the pokemon where looking worse and worse. Started with pidgey, then hoot hoot, then tailow, sigh, will they ever stop. I'd have to go with bulbasaur by far. It is a grass and posion pokemon and I like it better then the other starter ones. Although sunkern evolved with mega drain is pretty strong grass type. -------------------- |

Charmander by far, it is the best pokemon and I think there isn't a pokemon that looks more awesome then charmeleon. And he starts out with scratch which is much better then tackle as a starting attack. Granted cydaquil has smokescreen to start but charmander is just so superior and i prefer flamethrower over flame wheel. -------------------- |
