This is most definitely a "respect is better discussion" thing. It's harder to be respected than to be liked. Being respected is also more significant in the long term. Being liked is unreliable when by specific people. They could possibly be gone and take their liking with them. And then you have nothing. Respect, however, is more long term in the sense that if someone respects you, there's a higher chance the respect will spread around because it doesn't matter if your actions or decisions are liked or not, they can still respect your decision or action. You earn likes. You gain respect. That is all I can think of on the matter currently.
Things are not different; things are things.

My internet is extremely unreliable. At one point of the day it's chugging along, downloading at 13 kilobytes a second. At other points, it's downloading 2.5 megabytes a second. And nobody else uses my internet when I check.

I use Adblock Plus and Ghostery, but disable them on most websites i visit regularly. I keep them enabled on websites with really annoying pop-ups or unskippable video ads.

I don't. But that's because I am either extremely immature or unphased when it comes to the like. The many health classes I have taken usually result in chuckles or no reaction at all.

A week. But that was only because I couldn't due to plumbing problems in my house for the first five days, then just plain old forgot to after they were fixed. Then I realized I smelled like unspeakable things.

Joining in on the "ressurect Toonami for real" thing that happened after the April Fools' resurrection. I mainly only watched the really popular (and reflecting on them now, not that great) ones before it. I would say Avatar, but here's why not: It's not an anime. It belongs ot the category of "animesque", like RWBY.

The original Pokemon anime  Thinking about it now, it wasn't that good a show, but it still hold nostalgic value for me for quite a few reasons. I don't want to get into too much detail here. The first series I didn't watch on TV as a kid would have been NIchijou (also known as My Ordinary Life in some areas), which is a very zany anime I can't really describe very well. Go watch it on Crunchyroll (or if you dislike their ads, use some other site.)

Definitely wouldn't install Chrome OS on a main computer, but I did get a Chromebook as a gift on Christmas and kinda do like its limited abilities... Though I will eventually hack Crouton onto the thing (Crouton is a full version of Ubuntu modified to run on certain versions of the Chromebook. Makes the thing more useful and works really well from what i've heard.) (small edit; was thinking about Crouton and not Chrubuntu)

I last downloaded Left 4 Dead 2 which I got from the free holiday promotion Valve had... only to find out that the integrated graphics on a Core 2 Duo don't go well with it. Ah well, at least I didn't purchase it.

It really depends on the game I'm playing. If it's a game obviously designed to be/works better played with a controller, e.g. Beat Hazard, Super Meat Boy, any emulator that isn't for a home computer, Castle Crashers, many 'shmup/danmaku games, etc., I use a little PS2 to PC input adapter to play those. If the game is difficult to configure non-360/any controller inputs for, has no option to use a controller, or just isn't designed for or good with one, e.g. many FPSes, Binding of Isaac, many visual novels (which are usually too explicit for a family friendly forum such as Vizzed), point and click games, etc., I usually don't. I'm hoping to get an arcade-style joystick for some games as well.

Rovio wants to get some of that console money. They know that the birds are more like cash cow birds than angry ones at this point. I could almost understand Angry Birds Trilogy's price, but less so for a standalone Star Wars one.

I unfortunately have no proper opinion on this, due to the fact I live in an area of California that doesn't snow. When I do occasionally go to a snowy place (e.g. off on vacation or visiting a relative), my opinions usually range from "Why me (if I'm stuck in the guest room due to snow being too plentiful)" to "HOLY WOW THIS IS AWESOME (when I go to places with just the right amount of snow)"

I've gotta have burgers in my life. More specifically, a Five Guys bacon cheese burger with every single option and the fries put on. It's a mess, but awesome to eat.

edit: and this thread has made me realize the text in my theme is messed up. Have to tweak it now.

Before I got a notification about this, I didn't even know this was a thing. I just wanted to help make the new games in Vizzed have screen shots and more information.

For me, it was five hours. I was trying to get high scores for some NES games, and failing horribly.

The only reason Viz even exists is so nobody can eat up all the bandwidth by downloading and not even playing as many games as they can. Interacting with the community gets a lot of points anyway. Also, as mentioned in this thread already, you get 100 Viz every day.

It's usually onion, relish, ketchup and mustard. If I go to 7-11 to get the hot dog, they usually have complimentary chili and cheese that I put on. Sometimes I add jalapeños.

Honestly, most English dubs are inferior to their Japanese original counterparts.

I don't really buy or play with bad consoles at all, but arguably the PSP. Rampant piracy killed chances of some good games being released/caused lack of good games. It also had somewhat weird hardware (the proprietary UMD drive ate up battery life, so I just dumped all my games to memory stick/downloaded them on PSN) (speaking of memory sticks those were expensive initially.). Second would be the Wii because of having to sift through excessive shovelware and games ruined by waggle motion control madness.  Homebrew (emulators, games, tweaks and mods) and the first-party titles (who can hate a Mario game?) saved it from being the worst.

Sonic The Hedgehog is a great series (excluding the some of the 2000 decade.). (Sonic '06 is a good laugh to play, though.) The Master System was technically superior to the NES, but Nintendo's licensing deals made sure nothing great ever got on the Master System. The Dreamcast and Genesis were great consoles period without Nintendon't licensing limitations.
