Very cool! Sounds like a good little piano. What is your ultimate, final goal? Like what is one songs you really want to be able to play? Or have you not thought of that yet?

Fall does seem to be a common favourite season. However, being in Canada, I can’t believe you find September too hot sometimes! I mean, I even don’t find September too hot and look at my suit of armour.

Also, I don’t think I’ve ever met someone who love teletoon as much as you do; it’s your second post I’ve read about it!

A very unpopular opinion, but I LOVED the game cube controller because their buttons were slightly different shapes and not just in a typical cross pattern. It made them much more memorable and easy to learn and play fast games. I wish more controllers did that.

Interesting. I often does a La Niña occur? Is it like a yearly thing, or only once in a while when there’s a perfect storm.

Dauntez : Haha, I don’t think I’ll win the whole thing, but I do want to claim at least a couple jerseys!

becerra95 : I’m sure we’ve faced off before… but I could never keep up. You are like a DPS fighter, I’m just a tank.

Furret : You do me a great honour!

What instructor helped you out? Had a large positive impact on you?

And most importantly, why? What did they do to help you out like that?

I recently heard an inspiring story about a student who had been nearly homeless, involved in gangs, finding a college instructor who helped him completely turn his life around. I'm wondering what other positive stories may be floating around.

I think about it often enough, couple times a week maybe. For example, I see there's road work, and I think to myself "I wonder how often the romans had to do maintenance on their roads?"

Furret : Wait, in your high school you could MAJOR in something?

I'd rather live in space. I think of the several people who already live for extended periods of time on the space station, so I think there is a good amount of R&D for supporting a lifestyle up there. But no one lives under water, it would be lonely and depressing I think, plus, there is far less tech and processes developed to make a life down there satisfying.

Would you rather have the super power of stretchy fingertips (like elastagirl, but only in the fingers), or jumping 20% higher than the highest jumper on the planet.

L is for Last Night in Soho.

It's a thriller by Edgar Write, who's usually pretty good, but this movie "only" has a 65 on Metacritic. I have not seen it yet, but it just got added to Netflix Canada and I will probably give it a watch this weekend, despite slightly disappointing reviews.

Next is M.

You are so close to asking the right question: "WHY DO PEOPLE STILL BUY XBOX WHEN PLAY STATION AND PC EXISTS"

And yeah, it's not because their controllers are "more advance". The switch pro controller is very high tech too, and it has a charge life of 40 hours, which is great.

zanderlex : It's so odd you've found it awful. I've used it from creating lesson plans and practice scenarios for clients, to helping be write a friend's resume. Oddly, the one thing I find it's awful at is math. I was trying to use it for a business class I was taking, and it would get interest calculations wrong all the time. As a computer, I would assume the opposite.

tgags123 : That's so odd! I use it for multiple choice question creation all the time. I find I have to have the prompt well worded, and I always ask it to create far more than I need, so I can pick and choose the best ones. I'll usually write something like "Create 20 multiple choice questions, each with four possible answers, for College-level anatomy and physiology students studying the topic of the respiratory system and related pathologies" and out the 20, I'll probably find 5 I like. But that's 5 I didn't have to write! Also, it's good at creating them from a text. So I'll take a large section of a textbook, and paste it in the chat box and say "Create 20 questions from the above text with these paramotors blah blah", and it I'll probably use over half of those.

This is very interesting actually. I'm very surprised we don't see more of the same hurricanes in different states. For example, it's surprising to me tat Katrina is the worst hurricane in Louisinana's history, but not in any of the surrounding states.

tornadocam: Yes, goals are where it's at. I don't set them on new year's, per se, but I do think it's better to set goals and habits. Especially small, incremental goals. Instead of saying "in 2024, I'm going to eat healthy, exercise 5 times a week, loose 50 lbs, and bench my car" start with one simple goal, like "I'm going to drink at least 3 tall glasses of water each day" and then once you've accomplished that, add to it. That's why I'm not a big fan of the tradition of making a bunch of large resolutions for new years; it sets up most people for failure.

NaomiNoel : This is great. I think this is a great way to set goals, as they are very realistic, kind of like what tornadocam was saying. 100 subscribers should be very doable!

What kind of piano are you using? Is it the full 88 keys? Also, are you taking lessons, or just teaching yourself?

I used to have a nice electric piano, but it started to not work very reliably, so I sold it. I could play the Song of Storms, though.

It's one of the hardest things, I find. I find a small amount of comfort in knowing that my dogs do not think about the future and dwell on death. One day, they just stop existing, and up until that moment, they are living in the present. It's almost like a life lesson when I have a pet die.

I miss them dearly, but I also realize they lived in the best way possible: enjoying every moment as if it was the only thing that existed.

I haven't. I do own though. From what I can tell, it's often best to ask around for a company of good repute. There are a lot of contractors who follow a cookie-cutter approach and do a superficially nice, but cheap build. Unfortunately, it doesn't really help you any, because your issue still is to find a reputable contractor. I usually just ask around a ton.

It sounds like you a thinking positively and are in a healthier place! It's good to have have some goals in place, and these sound reasonable. Staying busy is good too!

I was glad to read this post, even it's it not all sunshine and rainbows. There's a quote I love from Epictetus: "no one is ever unhappy because of someone else". In other words, you have to realize you can create your own happiness from within, and it seems you are starting to realize this.

Keep it up, friend. You WILL find some good friends and probably a good girl one day too... but don't depend on those things, be happy with yourself first.
