luigi25 : Thanks for the tip. I've gone through and changed the file name to match exactly as what the page for it on Vizzed is, but it's still stuck on "Primary game ROMdownload status 0%". Oddly enough, out of curiosity, I tried other ROMs in the folder, too... and only the Sacred Stones seems to be working (the one I've been playing recently). The first GBA Fire Emblem ROM that I got from this site (before taken down) used to work too, but now that's also giving the same result as the Binding Blade file I got from another site yesterday. So I guess it's nothing to do with the file after all? In which case I'm more confused than ever....

Finally found a ROM for a game I wanted to play that isn't on here anymore but still like to use the Vizzed Plug-in. It seems like a normal-enough file and I put it in the right folders with all the old Vizzed ROMs I downloaded once upon a day. The plug-in loads without an error notice but nothing happens. Insists it needs to download it but there's no progress. Is the Vizzed emulator no compatible with ROMs that didn't originate from this site, or am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for any insight

Davideo7 : Wow, a few years ago? Guess it's been a bit longer than I thought since my last GBA Fire Emblem adventure. Sorry to hear about the site. Seems most emulation sites are taking all the ROMs down.

Appreciate the response and info!

Been a while since I've used the Retro Game Room and was looking to use the emulator to play some "unavailable" titles. I still have a few ROMs from a backup drive several years back but not what I was looking to play.

So I remember on the bottom of the site there used to be a link to get-your-rom .com. But I'm not seeing that link anymore, and trying to navigate to the website yields a security warning. Is David still affiliated with that site? And from where else could I download ROMs nowadays, if at all?

Sorry if this isn't the right forum for this. But thanks in advance for any info

Norriegirl93 : LOL I hate to admit how accurate that seems. If only you had played Sonic 2 so that Tails could tag-team the quiz for you.

Anyway, my most recent accomplishment is Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. They make Shulk out to be a reasonably bright fellow, but we've really no context as to what, if any, formal education system is in place in this world. So I'd assume Shulk would score at least a B unprepared, and an A if given the possibility to study/learn what kind of test he'd have to take. I'd also say Shulk would in fact be the type to willingly study. Not so for myself, but I'd get an A anyway lol

I believe the issue for raising the minimum wage lies in reality vs idealism. Perhaps small businesses would need to raise some prices on goods to keep up with it, but for the vast majority (i.e. corporations) of employers the idea is the wages should be increased... and that's it. The idea that everything will thrown out of whack is likely true, but the point is that it probably shouldn't be the case. These corporations can more than afford it and wage inequality is far too high for them to say otherwise. But since they won't WANT to take a hit in any fashion, goods will rise too. That's why I think raising minimum wage is more a band-aid fix. It's fixing a symptom, not a the problem. And such is usually the case with immediate solutions vs long-term plans

becerra95 : Wow... look at this reply box. Looks like some changes have been made since I was away.

Anyway, whole house ended up needing some electrical work and I've been offline since the last time I made a "sorry" post here lol. Now I'm pretty behind on computer-related responsibilities so I'll likely still be ghost around these parts. Just wanted to update/explain the lack of participation.

And... the top of my page now says another user has "caught" me. Jeez... what's going on around here?

becerra95 : Sorry, I've been a ghost. I only access this site on my desktop and it's been unplugged for the last two weeks due to a literal series of unfortunate events. Seeing as how it's apparently the end of the first week and I still won't exactly be free in the coming days, I guess I'm disqualified. Hopefully that doesn't bar me from future tournaments. Hope everyone else is having fun with it!

tgags123 : Hmm, all right, my mistake then. I may have been thinking of the rumor m0ssb3rg935 mentioned. I remember seeing something on my local news station from which I drew most of my talking points. Don't remember exactly what they said, to be honest.

Still a shame they opted to still include the addictiveness of the nicotine, though. If the cigarette were to receive an overhaul, you'd think the first thing they'd want to do (if they cared) is to remove the burden of addiction.

That's a great one. Heard it before. I like their sound. Not sure if sandwich posting is OK for this thread but I couldn't resist. Solid 9/10 for me. Also, just going off the first post, but I'd recommend staying away from explicit versions for this thread.

Again, fitting with my last post, this song is appropriate:

Lexatom : Yes, he's done some epic side projects, like the theme song for Phineas and Ferb lol. Fun fact, though: I actually found out about the lyrical Endless Possibility theme after I heard the Super Sonic vs. Perfect Dark Gaia theme (the orchestrated version). I thought it kind of killed the epicness of the song when I first found out it had lyrics, but since Jaret was singing it, it grew on me lol. That song remains one of my favorites. A great orchestral arrangement by Tomoya Ohtani, I believe.

Never heard of 'em before, but not bad. Not bad at all. I do like the guy's sound and there're some nice piano moments for the background music. A bit slow for my tastes in this moment, though, so I'll give it a 7.5/10.

Hmm... so many things I could subject someone to lol. I just mentioned the vocalist of this link in my last post so I'll lay this one on the next person.

Lexatom : I was actually reading through this thinking "Why does that name sound so familiar!?!?" and then I read the Sonic '06 comment LOL.

To be honest, Sonic music was some of the first music I went out of my way to listen to. Growing up, I never really was the type to just "listen to music." It was always something someone else was playing or it was a background noise. I just played whatever the band director gave us lol.

One of the first major bands I liked was Bowling for Soup. I've recently tried to widen my spectrum and the Bowling for Soup radio stations on things like Pandora and Spotify have introduced me to others like Skillet and Linkin Park (yes, I know I'm way behind on these bands lol). But since it's actually been a while since they got a dedicated listening session from me, it still just sounds more comfortable to hear Jaret Reddick's voice. Female singers are quickly growing on me, though. Haven't seen the show, but RWBY's Casey Lee Williams has a heck of a voice.

I don't believe there's anything healthy about smoking, so taking out a few chemicals and calling it "healthier" I think is the entire problem. That's why it's becoming so popular, but taking out some secondary ingredients and keeping the addictive and cancerous ingredients isn't helping anyone. To be healthier is not necessarily to actually be healthy.

Except now they can say that it is, and they can have different methods and aromas, and that's what's dangerous about it. After so many commercials growing up where I saw it advertised to fight big tobacco on TV and those ads claiming mine could be the generation to end smoking, the companies have come out with vaping and there's been a new rise in popularity. Smoking is smoking. Honestly, alleged gateway drug or not, marijuana is far healthier. I think it smells even worse, to be honest, but I'll advocate people do that over killing themselves with tobacco products lol

dark mode : You mention these working on services. What/who is the distributor of these codes? Will it not just be a file I can play on VLC or something?
I'm definitely interested in Fantastic Beasts for 50k depending on your response. And what are the premium movies of which you speak? Thanks!

My cousin met someone on Match and they're married now with 3 kids. One of my best friends has been living with his girlfriend for a few years now and they met on OKCupid. He swears by that site and insists I should try it. Another cousin of mine also met and is still with someone from OKCupid. I keep reading (like in JigSaw's post) that the site has gone downhill, but may still give it a go one day. I've yet to use any online dating service or app. It feels like that would be endgame, you know? Like if I meet someone or any current relationships pan out, then great. But I don't think I'm in a position to purposely seek someone out through a service.

becerra95 : All right, that seems slightly more simplified now, thanks! Also, with the replay videos, I just meant the in-game function for Smash. I saved the replay of my first online fight (was surprised I actually won) and it came out pretty good. Not sure what you'd do with said file afterward, but since it's in-game and on the Switch, I imagine it shouldn't be much trouble over the screenshot. Endgame pic definitely sounds much easier, though, and better on file size.
(This is officially my first post for the Zander's Post Day!)

Not sure what you'd do with said file afterward, but since it's in-game and on the Switch, I imagine it shouldn't be much trouble over the screenshot. Endgame pic definitely sounds much easier, though, and better on file size.
(This is officially my first post for the Zander's Post Day!)

Read all the posts, read the initial post, sounds simple yet complicated lol. Are we saving replays of these fights to determine compliance? Or... what would the screenshot be of exactly?
Haven't done much of the online myself, so I'm not sure where we'd access the fights. Do we have to add all the participants as friends, or just join the discord, or?
And last question for now: Are we doing the 8 fighters at once or will this be all 1v1 or something in between?

Sorry for all the trouble. But I do have the game, pro controller, and online membership. So I should be good to join if there's still room and it's not too complicated to do so. Thanks!

What exactly do we mean by "post"? Just a reply to a thread, or a whole new thread? Sorry, just gotten used to the post vs. comment aspect on reddit.
This definitely sounds like an interesting way to raise activity. Not sure how much I'll be able to contribute but you can count me in for the participation medal lol.
I was thinking of trying my hand at writing some reviews, too. Soon(TM)
