The ReRave series hasn´t recieved anything new in 2 years, which means it could be abandoned.

Because of this, hacking should be possible with little trouble. Has anybody tried hacking either ReRave or ReRave Plus to add in custom songs and patterns? What about increasing the maximum time songs can be? I think hacking can be done with the games now, but has somebody tried yet?

Just a side thought. 2 years in between games isn't really that long. Heck that's the development cycle for some games.

It's certainly not long enough to assume that the series has been "abandoned" especially since they are still selling on the Google and Apple stores respectively. So I would assume any fan "hack" of this game would probably be met with a C/D letter from the copyright holder.
