On the (Close to) 3rd anniversary of me signing onto Vizzed for the first time, I walked up, in front of about 2,000 people to be handed my High School GED. However, it didn't end there.  On June 1st, 2017, not only did I receive my GED, but I was awarded my Gold Eagle Palm, and gave a Valedictorian speech.  Here's a simple watered-down of what I've said.

Over my 4 years in my multiple High Schools, I've seen many things:
Multiple ways to solve different problems, Multiple problems with less than one solution, District Track, and some of my friends' search history, but the most Important thing I learned during high school was not IN high school. In December 2015, months after being kicked out of my previous Boy Scout troop by a scoutmaster who cared more about the face value of his troop more than his scouts, I had decided to take another shot at it. Boy Scouts was my one escape since my 5-year old self came in to register in June 2005.
My new scoutmaster had looked at my wonky Junior year so far and told me, "Young Man, I will not tolerate anymore failed quizzes. If any of your teachers call me, telling me, telling me that you have failed a quiz, you will hike an extra mile at every campout you go to, and for every test you fail, that's two you're hiking at Philmont." So I began to improve. Yes, I did have to hike a few extra miles, but my body eventually endured, and endurance soon became a hobby. Cross Country. He then told me, "Now that you have developed this new hobby, practice with it. tinker with it. Find something that replaces the hobbies that made you a juvenile delinquent." That something, would later turn out to be your very own Tennis, Track, and Cross Country team! And my grades? Well, I had already learned my lesson.
I want you to take a hobby, and tinker around a little. Dedicate a few hours a day to it. You'll be surprised at what you can do.
Now, you may ask, "Where is this young man going in life?" and to be truthful, I don't know either. That's because life is your own choose your own adventure! Good Night, and Thank You!

And I was honest. I'm not planning on going to college just yet.
I've got my twenties to do that.

It's interesting that you stuck around even though Vizzed is currently going through an activity drop.

Glad to have you, hope you stay for longer, hopefully when things are a bit faster paced.

PoptartSlayerXD :
Thanks, It means lot. It was great to relive it, and I'm glad someone more than me had gotten something out of it.

yoshirulez! : Not really, I just came back during that time period. I also had an additional one month hiatus once I did due to having to finalize my grades and finish the Tennis season. I will now have more spare time now that this has worked out. I hope Vizzed sees it's glory days again.

Its nice not to rush into college. I waited a full year after I graduated high school before I started college. And what's crazier is my mom actually recommended it! She said something like "its good to give your brain a break for a little." I mean you have been going to school for 12+ straight years, nonstop. I went to a 2-year college and got my Associates Degree ... and I plan on getting a Bachelors eventually. Just have to wait for the right time now that I'm married.

And as for Vizzed, it wasn't created until after I finished high school so I can't say how it was when I was in school. I'm still glad that I've been a member for as long as it has been.

Good luck to you my man!
