Overview: Arabian is a very obscure game created by Sunsoft sometime in 1983. The game follows in the vein of Nintendo's Donkey Kong, being a simplistic platformer that has a set amount of given levels.
Controls: For a game made in 1983, the player character is very versatile. The prince, with the taps of your joystick, can run, jump, climb, crouch, or crawl. He can move left and right, and climb up and down vines. It's swell.
Gameplay: Your job is to collect the "ARABIAN" bags. You accomplish this through jumping and kicking enemies. The prince is nimble, and can climb and leap skillfully. Levels are traversed vertically. 8/10
Graphics: The prince is animated quite well, but everything else is mainly average. For 1983, it's servicable. 6/10
Sound: The high point of this game is it's triumphant music and sound. Enemies have satisfying sound effects themselves, and so does our little prince. Every kick and squirm is realized with sound. The music is lovely. 8/10
Addictiveness: This game isn't all that fun. You won't have much to do after completion. 4/10
Story: This game's story is only adequate. It's quite simple, actually. The princess has been kidnapped! Save her now! 2/10
Depth: This game isn't really too deep. You mostly just jump and kick for about four levels, not really much else sadly. 4/10
Difficulty: The game's difficulty is accordingly fair. Not too easy, but definitely not a challenge. 6/10
Verdict: Arabian is a simplistic, amusing game, but it's bogged down by repitition. Play this game if you're bored or want a decent platforming challenge, otherwise it might not interest you. 6.6/10
