TouchMaster97 : It's simply a matter of how your computer can handle it. Maybe for your specs the game only works that well. I've seen games which Dolphin labels as Perfect not being such and games labelled as Playable being actually perfect, so maybe this game is labelled as Playable but you can only get it to start.

It's possible it's an issue with the game, I've seen reports of other games that can suddenly crash without the proper adjustments. However, Dolphin specifies no settings are needed for this game, so how to solve this can get really tricky.

Have you tried the Ishiiruka build? I've personally tested it and it gives out better results, and some games which needed special settings no longer need them. This way, we could also sort out if it's actually a problem with the game or it's on your end.

Ishiiruka build? That´s the first time I heard that. Can you explain what the Ishiiruka build is, and how I set it up?

TouchMaster97 : The link to download Ishiiruka is on the opening post. Keep the regular Dolphin installed and download that one.

Ishiiruka is basically the same as the regular Dolphin, just that it has improved performance. The interface and configuration is the same, so just proceed with it like you installed the regular version.

I clicked your link, but it takes me to 4 different files, 3 of them called Ishiiruka. Which one should I download? Ishiiruka.56d6fc5.x86, Ishiiruka.950 or Ishiiruka.Stable.751, or all of them? I´m confused again.

Oh, of course: the latest version. That leaves the third file out.

By the way, why can we still download the older versions?

This emulator is great, though I've noticed trying to play games from WADs for the Virtual Console games does not go too well, but then again, you can get an emulator for that game's original console and it not be a problem, I just like having the option of using Dolphin for Mega Man 1-5.

I've been playing a Wii game with Gamecube controls and with an Xbox controller (I like to mix things lol), and it looks like the control stick is very sensitive. It doesn't happen when playing Gamecube games, so probably it's a thing of the setup. Or it could be a problem within Ishiiruka, but the regular Dolphin doesn't work as good so looks like I don't have any choice.

tyranit : Well, depends on the emulators available for that original console. I can tell you that for N64 WADs Dolphin will work like any other emulator out there for the original games.

Then again, it's all about compatibility. Where you are having trouble, others may not have it. I've had more luck with N64 WADs on Dolphin than the original games we used to have here, so there you go.

EX Palen : You can always change the radius and deadzone in the controller settings to fix that. The sensitivity of a gamecube controller is probably different than an xbox controller so it makes sense that its off.

earthwarrior : What grinds my gears is that it only happens in this game, the rest of games work out just well. It may be an issue of this game, because I remember other control-related issues in other games. Haven't touched much Dolphin lately, so I can't speak for sure, but the fact that I've tried several Gamecube games without control-related issues supports the theory of a not-so-perfect emulation of a specific game affecting slightly the controls.

I like this. I'l be sure to check it out, since I've been dying to emulate Rhythm Heaven Fever.
The idea of emulating a Wii and a GC seems like a great idea, and being able to is even greater! Though I have my heart set on the Wii emulation. I can't wait!

Yes I did, I tried the default build instead of Ishiiruka. Rhythm Heaven Fever runs smoothly when you're playing one of the songs. But in the menu's it's laggy. I managed to get to Remix 2 before giving up though. Super Mario Bros Wii is just an extremely slowed down version on the regular build, but this actually makes the game easier instead of harder. I could probably 100% the game with the regular build. However, I'm going to go try the Ishiiruka build now with Super Mario Bros Wii and see how it goes. @ Earthwarrior:

Dolphin is amazing. I would be using it if my laptop didn't run on a grape.

sonic123amy1 : Thats good that you got it working. The Iishiruka build will definitely give you some speedups.

Boured : Upgrade to a potato and try.

@Earthwarrior: The game runs surprisingly well. Everything needs to load everything during gameplay, but with the fps boost, it's a godsend. I'l be trying it with Fever next, and then downloading Galaxy 2 and trying it with that next.
