Though I am a very liberal person and am not religious, I lean more pro-life. I think abortion should only be allowed in cases of incest, rape, or when the mother is in danger of losing her life. If you are pregnant under any other circumstances and get an abortion, you should be ashamed of yourself. You could have used any contraception method. Not totally related, but this is why I think that Planned Parenthood is an extremely good thing. Contraception is literally a life-saver. Birth control, condoms, and IUDs should be used every time you engage in intercourse unless you plan on getting pregnant.
More on subject, I agree with you in saying that abortion is one of the least feminine things I can think of. Giving birth is one of the few things that only females can do. If you are going to give birth to an unwanted baby, don't abort. I think that not enough people realize you can give babies up for adoption the week, even day, you give birth to them. Like I said earlier, I understand if someone aborts in specific circumstances, but giving up your child is an almost criminal idea to me.
Feminists try to show that they have the power to choose, but maybe you should have chosen contraception over taking chances. One thing that bothers me a huge amount is when they get pregnant knowledgeably, not having any plans for abortion, and then deciding partway through their pregnancy that they want an abortion. Giving birth is an enormous commitment, a choice that I couldn't even imagine making if I were female. If you're not ready to make that commitment, then don't get pregnant.
