I have wached nearly evry episode and they never made freinds with each other. so really its just plain daft that jerry can walk strait past tom.

Tom and Jerry is one of my favs. While they might have never actually been friends there has been a couple of episodes where they did get along. Keep in mind most who think of tom and jerry think about the crazy chases and the clever tactics, so if tom and jerry became friends, then there would never be any of that kind of action

Gene Dietch is a guy who basically took over Tom and Jerry and nearly ruined it's reputation by turning over to a Czechoslovakian crew, and basically there's a lot of animation glitches.
