All right, I was not planning on doing a biograpy for Princess Peach, but due to my other biography about goombas, a discussion arose about (mainly) princess peach. I am making this to direct that discussion to its proper place. Anyways, we don't know very much about her. So let's start breaking this down. If I were to list every game she ever appeared in, I would be listing every mario game in existence, as well as a few others, so I'm just going to list some of the adventures that this well-known damsel in distress has taken part in.

1. Super Mario Bros. 2/Super Mario Bros. USA

Although there is some disagreement about the true name of the game, no one can deny that this is Peach's first adventures. Except for the fact that one might say that Princess Peach and Toadstool are not the same person. But they are, if you do not believe me, just check out the letters you get in Super Mario Bros 3, Super Mario world, Super Mario RPG and Super mario 64. While the first 3 games, show the princess, the way she is most commonly seen, it is super mario 64 that shows us that princess toadstool is also peach. At the end of the letter asking mario to come to the castle, she signs it Princess Toadstool. She then crosses out the Toadstool and writes her most commonly known name...Peach. There is reason to believe that princess peach wasn't the original toadstool, due to different appearances and different clothing, but there is no concrete evidence that the original princess toadstool died or passed her rule on. So, unless proven wrong, I'm going to assume it's the same girl. Also, this game did turn out to just be a dream, but I still feel that this is an important part of the princess's bio.

2. Super Mario RPG

This is the first game that the princess actually shows off her power, and that she's not afraid to slap someone silly. Her special moves include Therapy, (which heals and ally) Group hug (which heals all allies), Sleepy time (which can put an enemy to sleep), Come back (which can revive a dead ally), Mute (which can prevent an enemy from casting spells) and last but not least, Psych Bomb (which will deal damage to all enemies. WOW! This is one powerful princess! Not only can she revive the dead, but she can also block magic. Why then, does she never do this kind of stuff when bowser attacks?

3. Super Princess Peach:

Now I do not know much about this game, but what I do know is that you use Princess Peach attacks by controlling her mood. Now if affecting her mood can really bring disaster to her foes, why doesn't this happen all the time?

4. Super Paper Mario:

Thanks to this game, we now know that there is a dimension where Princess Peach actually does marry Bowser. What???!!!
As wierd as this may seem. The "wedding" at the beginning of the story was NEVER UNDONE!!! Nothing really to say about her abilities in this game, just that she can float a long distance with her umbrella, as well as shield with it. But it is notable that she is the first to escape. What is also noteworthy is what she says about the Void and Chaos Heart "This is all our fault, Bowsers and mine that is." Take notice that she does not blame Nastasia's hypnosis, or even count bleck. Could there truly be something between Bowser and the Princess. Also take note at the end of the game where Merlon stops peach and asks "Do you think Lady Timpani is truly happy?" Almost as if he is hinting at peach and bowser. Her reply? "Of course she is." Perhaps I'm overthinking it, but this is pretty interesting...

5. Super Smash Bros.
Obviously Princess peach is no damsel in distress here, where she slaps you silly, kicks the crap out of you, literally explodes her but at you, hits you with a variety of clubbing tools, and even pulls out a toad to protect herself (Where she's getting all this stuff...I'm not going to ask!

6. Super Mario 3d world
Princess peach appears as a playable character, with abilities similar to the ones she had in the 2 super mario game. Something to note here is that her fire costume appears to be the same dress that she wore in the original super mario bros. Also notable is the fact that she was the first to dive into the pipes after bowser and the fairy...

Time and again, the fair Princess has shown that she really can defend herself, but doesn't. But the question is..why? Is she some sort of pacifist that only reacts under the gravest of circumstances? Or does she have a "thing" for Bowser??? While that seems highly strange, some of the pieces do seem to match up under this assumption. I honestly don't know what peach's deal is. But what I do know is that she is no helpless damsel in distress, the toads love and serve her, and something fishy is going on in the mushroom kingdom...

FaithFighter : Maybe she has a bit of Stockholm Syndrome, that she empathizes or sympathizes with her captor. I mean, she gets kidnapped so often that I am sure Peach can set her watch to it. Or this is her way of testing Mario's feelings for her. I think the show,"Death Battle" said it best,Princess Peach and Zelda can convince some hero to come to their aid, with no real reward. I think the only reason they wanted to give Peach some offensive capability or at least make her somewhat sufficient was at the time Mario 2 (US) was released, the Nintendo stable was not that big and they needed to put someone from Nintendo into the game.

Over the years, she may have had to learn to defend herself, considering the Koopas kidnap her all the time, out of necessity. And any decent fighting game has to have female fighters that go toe to toe with the males. Maybe she is like a queen bee or ant. She keeps her citizens down and gives them pheromones in the form of making them serve and love her. But she has to beware of that scenario. Eventually a queen bee or ant's pheromones weaken and their colony turns against them. The same can happen to Peach.

Oldschool777 : I'm pretty sure that human pheremones would not attract mushrooms...but that is a...unique...idea. Stockholm Syndrome is also a possibility. I was trying to avoid that, since game theory already put that one out there. But it is still a possiblity.

Well considering she is not afraid to fight as seen in other games and the cartoons. Maybe she gets ambushed and doesn't have time to react. This is evident in Super Mario Bros 3 when after rescuing and turning all the kings back to normal. Bowser sends a letter to Mario saying he stormed Peach's castle and has taken her to his world. In Super Mario World he ambushes her from behind to take her to his castle. I have also thought sometimes she gets kidnapped on purpose to test Mario's feelings for her. Another idea is maybe its a little bit of both

I mean,if you were prone to getting kidnapped a lot, would you not invest in security or learn to defend yourself? Have a few of those worthless toads hit the gym and learn to defend their princess. Or learn to defend yourself,by learning a fighting style. She could save herself a ton of trouble if she were more alert and security minded and maybe a little less self centered,(testing Mario). But that would not make for a Mario game, now would it? Maybe Bowser has something that Peach likes? I did not want to throw that in there, but it is a possibility.

I think Princess Peach wants to be captured, she is constantly being captured despite the multiple Toad (people or people's) being around her in the mushroom kingdom and not to mention as seen in Super Mario advanced for the game boy advanced she has offensive capabilities but yet always manages to get captured by Bowser or his minions. And there's the whole Bowser jr theory  where Bowser fathered a child with Peach and Peach get's "Kidnapped" in order to see her and Bowsers baby without Mario knowing.

*stares menacingly at the screen*
I had a post that was between seven hundred and seven hundred and fifty words on this thread, and then vizzed shut down. That made me angry. Now, I am going to try and do this again. Because last time, I had a very good theory before it all came crashing down around me. *huffs and puffs*

Alright, so we already went through Stockholm syndrome. In my previous post I had a whole lot of stuff about Toads and Goombas and Bowser just overpowering Peach, even if she could hold her own, but I'm just going to go with my only original theory.

So, in reality, Mario is no hero. He's a conqueror. Mario is the bane of the entire Mushroom Kingdom, and upon arriving with his brother, Luigi, in tow, they made their intentions very clear: They were going to conquer the mushroom kingdom. Initially, a small number of Yoshis and Toads joined their cause, as they knew that if they couldn't win, then they would just join the winning side. The result as Mario's rapid advance on the palace that Princess Peach was currently staying in, and Bowser, one of her generals, took her away from the palace, knowing that his forces could not hold it, while a few brave men sacrificed their lives to delay the seemingly unstoppable force that was a plumber from the land of Italy.

This resulted in Mario only becoming more angry and unlocking the ability to not only grow larger but to become literally invulnerable, making even more dangerous. Bowser tried laying traps, and fortified his other castles more and more to slow the advance, but to no avail. Princess Peach, fearing for her life, cowered in Bowser's own lair, hoping against hope that some how, Mario and Luigi would be stopped for good.

So the Goombas, who were not actually enslaved as of yet, their grumpy expressions emerging from the absolute helpless feeling that had arisen because of the situation they were in, continued to bravely not only risk but give up their lives to protect the princess whom they adored, the general they respected, and finally, and perhaps most importantly of all, the nation they adored. Despite Mario's slaughtering them like sheep, and Luigi doing the same when and where ever he got the chance to do so, they kept on going.

Within a year though, their resistance proved futile, Mario reaching Bowser's castle and slaying the great general in a battle that shook mountains, caused volcanic eruptions, and destroyed any hope if stopping the tyrant, who then set Princess Peach in the first castle that he had conquered, returning to his own lands to prepare the rituals for wedlock and the like so that he could finally, truly, rule over the mushroom kingdom with a mentally broken Princess Peach at his side and Count Luigi leading the 501st legion of Goombas to enforce his reign.

Bowser, though, had other plans.

The dinosaur managed to help Peach escape yet again, as the Catholic Church took far too long in signing all of the paper work, and Mario's conquest began again as all the Goombas rejoined Bowser.

So yeah, there you have it, That basically comprises of my theory as to why Peach lets Bowser kidnap her consistently. It's not because of the Stockholm syndrome, which was a good theory. There was also the possibility of Bowser just laying siege to which ever castle that Princes Peach was currently residing in, or convincing the closest toads to her to become Goombas, who would then proceed to transfer her to Bowser's castle. It's because Bowser is an extremely powerful fighter, and the only one who could really stand up to Mario's wrath.

People, we have, all this time, through all of the Super Mario Brother, Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, and even Super Smash Brothers, games, been played. We have been deceived into thinking that we were fighting for the good guys, that Mario and Luigi were just a pair of brothers who were out to do good things in the world. But we. Were. Wrong.

We have been fighting for the wrong side all of this time. Join the revolution. Join Bowser's rebellion, and try to save the Mushroom Kingdom from the iron-fisted rule of the plumper who has become Emperor Mario.

I have to wonder if Princess Peach isn't calling Bowser to stage the Mario games famous kidnapping so Mario is forced to work? Makes you wonder doesn't it?
