I've noticed that due to climate change, the weather in the Netherlands changes a lot: From hot weather from the 23rd of April 2016 until the 6th of May 2016, to rain that lasts at least 3 days... It goes crazy over here. And just a few minutes ago (While i posted in 'That One Forum') it rained really hard and now it stopped again. That means the rain lasts short or long, very few times or a lot. So. That's the story behind this thread.

But the question: Does it rain a lot at where you live? It doesn't need to be the climate that is there, it can be anything that causes this to happen. At my place, the Netherlands, we have a sea next to us. So we probably have a lot of rain at the west side of our country.

It depends. The weather in London is rather hard to describe but I'll try too. At times it will rain a lot. Then rain really heavy. And then have some light rain at times as well. And not only that it can rain for some days before it can become sunny again. It can rain at odd times as well not sure how to describe that one. So the weather in London is pretty much weird. And you wouldn't always know when it comes. Sometimes the rain can start with a heart wrenching heavy pour on you. And then you would ask what just happened....

It doesn't rain a lot where I live in Lebanon, but when it does I enjoy it while it lasts, because I love the rain so much. With rain I can meditate in peace. I guess it rains the most during winter (mid november till february), but sometimes it can rain on October.

Not a lot unless it's spring. Sometimes it gets so dry there are scary huge grass fires.  It flooded here twice about a month ago but then not much rain before or after that. Spring usually mean tornado warnings here more than nice rain. Then summer show up early and it gets so hot until October. It is rainy and stormy now but probably long enough to try  to ruin fire works and hay. We are happy for the rain right now because maybe it will fill up the ponds more for the cows.

Down here in Atlanta, most of the time its on and off. There are some points ( usually between March and April ) in the year where we have so much rain that I forgot what the sun looks like sometimes lol But then sometimes we'll go through periods ( mostly during the summer ) where we hardly get any rain...almost enough to call it a "drought" sometimes. And we can get rain at ANY time of year, including the winter since it rarely snows here anymore. Most of the time storm systems will come from the west and move to the east, but not always.

Just yesterday, it rained on and off ALL DAY. I woke up and it was raining...not a hard rain, just a drizzle. When I took the pets out for a walk, it had stopped. Then not a couple hours later, I go to the store while it was raining again. Of course when I came out, it had stopped. You get the idea. The bottom line is it can literally rain at any time here lol

Well right now my area is in a severe drought as we are 9 inches behind in rainfall. But most of the time it rains a lot in my area. In my area we average about 52.5 inches of yearly rainfall.

Spring my area averages 14.5 inches of rain
Summer is my driest season averaging 11 inches of rain
Fall is usually when the rain starts to pick back up 13 inches
Winter is usually wet averaging  14 inches of rain

I hate where I love when it comes to weather, especially the rain. It either rains too much or too little and when it does rain, it seems to be all at the wrong times. I'm only guessing, but id like to believe that on average we get maybe 1 or 2 showers and a downpour each month during the summer. Sometimes we can get a massive downpour/shower that lasts 4 or 5 days though which can get pretty bad.

It depends on what place in Norway you live. In south and west it rain quite a bit, but rest of the country is OK when it comes to rain.

Snow is a whole other story

It usually only rains a lot in the spring where I live. In summer it's usually just hot and doesn't rain enough for me to enjoy being outside most of the time. Fall and winter can have a lot of precipitation, but it more often than not snow, not rain. I really do wish it rained more where I live, because I enjoy feeling rain drops and listening to the sound of rain.

We have a saying around here. It goes "There's no such thing as 'Normal' weather in Ohio." Lol. I wouldn't say it rains any more than what's usual for the climate, it's just the weather is all over the place. It can rain one day at 50 degrees, and the next be sunny and 80 outside.

I wish it would rain more around here. I love the rain (when it's warm). Love the sound, the feel of it on my skin, the excuse to stay inside all day lol, love it and everything that comes with it.

It doesn't rain very often over here. We recently just underwent a streak of +100 consecutive days without even a light rain.

However, when it does rain, it rarely is a light rain. Just one week ago, we had a summer thunderstorm that lasted for some 10-15 minutes, but it rained hard enough to completely soak my clothes. It's always amazing to see how, in just 30 minutes, we go from cloudy to heavy rain to bright sun.

Some people would like that we enjoyed some more rain. It's particularly useful during the summer, as heat is incredibly humid around here and anything than can "cool us down" is very welcome. I'm quite happy with how often it rains, however, since I hate grey days and cold climates.

I haven't really thought about this before, but now that I do think about it, it hasn't rained that much here in a while. I mean, sometimes it does, but other times it doesn't. Kind of in the middle. Tennessee weather can be pretty odd at times, heh.

I'm in the US, Tennessee in particular and we do get a lot of rain. It becomes swamp-like every so often so I don't go outside in it.

I like the rain though, despite how swampy it is. As long as it doesn't make it too humid, that is. I can't do humidity..

Hehehe... Haha.. HAHA... HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!

In a shorter answer, YES! About every two or three days it rains. Except Summer. It rains about every five to fifteen days, which is one reason I love Summer so much, even though all I do is play the computer and my other various (older) consoles.

It used to rain frequently, now that it has gotten hotter over the years we see much less rain, this Summer has been terrible too.
The sun  is always out, and it's always scorching, there aren't enough pools in the world around here.

It rains a lot here in fall and spring. It's dumb how the only seasons where the weather is bearable is filled with rain. We don't get very much rain at all in the summer, which makes the heat even worse. In the winter, we get a decent amount of rain, but it's almost never cold enough to snow here, which kind of sucks. I really like rainy weather for some reason. It makes me feel good and its not bright outside, so rainy weather is perfect for watching horror movies.

Eniitan : Sounds like Amsterdam weather!

It's actually been sunny for the last few days, but it also rains a lot here. (Near to Amsterdam) The weather is very unpredictable, it changes a LOT.

imamonster : Yeah sounds like that as well....funny how the weather turns out to be like right? When you want the weather to go the way you want it. Sadly it won't always work that way. I mean as I said before anything can happen which is why most people keep umbrellas with them just in case. It can be sunny for the next hour, and half then clouds starts to form quickly, and down comes the heavy pouring rain. '-'

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
