Are there any fans of twenty One Pilots in here? I was just introduced to their music officially for the first time just a week ago and I have instantly fell in love with their music and even got tickets to go to one of their concerts.

Some of my favorite songs include Stressed Out, Ride, Fairly Local, and Tear in My Heart, which I love.

Yeah I don't like a lot of modern music. Too talentless and trashy.

What even.....I'm sorry. Band people are coming up with ridiculous names nowadays for themselves, or singers as well. Its kinda sad how modern music is nowadays. Which is the reason I only stick to ones that made sense and enjoyable as well. :/

As a fresh of breath air from the "Oh i'm not like other people modern music sucks I only listen to real music" elitists, I actually do like TOP.

Stressed out, Car Radio, House of Gold, Ride are some I really like. I think they might be a bit too overrated, but they're still really good lyricists, and they can make some not only thought provoking but actually really nice music.

Eh, I'm not a big fan of Twenty One Pilots. They're alright, but not really my taste.

I agree with Enii and yosh in that respect, but I politely disagree about the point about how modern music sucks. Sure, there are some bad songs and bad artists, but it's wrong to group a whole generation because of a few, or even many artists. You can find trashy songs in any given generation. If you actually took the time to dig deep enough and look through other songs, you'd find good songs. I'm not sure if Enii was saying all of the modern music is bad, and I'm sorry if I misunderstood. The fact of the matter is, there are good and bad songs in every generation, genre, etc. The "my generation's music sucks, I wish I was born in the 1470's argument" is pretty lame in my opinion. In agreement with the great Filthy Frank, I'm sure there were people back then who adored caveman music. OH THOSE STONES BANGING ON EACH OTHER WERE THE BOMB! I DON'T KNOW WHY MY GENERATION PLAYS FLUTES AND STUFF WHEN THEY COULD BE BANGING STONES AGAINST STICKS!

Like zander I can hook you up with some of their best songs. I personally love this band because I can relate to their music and the artists themselves so much it gets me at a personal level, and makes me enjoy the music even more. 

I mean I'm a fan of almost all their music ranging from Kitchen sink to Trees, it's just really relate-able and you just have to search for the right genre since ToP really does change their music genre for specific songs.

They also aren't even that modern and if you think all modern music is trashy and talentless you might want to sort out your priorities because you're obviously not listening to the right stuff, since I'm sure you haven't listened to all modern day music so you can't justify that all of it is talentless and trashy that's an ignorant opinion (no offence)

RDay13 : I didn't post fully what I would say about that because I was a being lazy. Most modern music are bad to be put bluntly. If you are lucky enough you can find some music that are ok or good to listen too. It doesn't always often comes out since you have to find them. I will only listen to new music if its worth it or not.

My mom likes the tunes they play on the radio a lot, whichever ones those are, but they're not really my thing. Don't get me wrong. I don't think they're bad, but I just don't care for that particular sounds very much.

My husband loves their latest album and can not wait to watch them in concert. On my side... this is not exactly my type of music. I got use to some songs by over hearing them, but this is not a group I would "naturally" gravitate to. I am more of a rock / hard rock type. 21 pilots is less "sweet" than usual pop music, but it is still not my cup of tea.

Their music is bland and doesn't really say anything that means much, but I enjoy a few of their hits just for the catchiness.

They don't really click with me in general and I could think of hundreds of bands from the last 10 years that squash them in quality.

Echoing alexanyways, I find that their music, especially their last album, Blurryface, is pretty dull, and maybe a bit disingenuous as well; they have tracks that clearly draw inspiration from a myriad of genres, from reggae to hip hop to breakbeat, but all of it is like a clever distraction from the fact that their tracks all follow a fairly similar pop formula. This isn't to say that pop music is inherently bad or is something to be ashamed of making, but formulaic pop music is poor, just like making any other music in such a fashion would be.

deggle : That's an awful lot of aggression right there. Just because someone likes the songs a band does that are commercially popular and on the radio doesn't make that person wrong.

You seem angry.

I won't lie. I thought 21 Pilots was a newer group because they've never been featured on Detroit radio before, including Canada's 89X, which plays the indie, alternative, off-the-beaten-path groups. 89X even played Kid Rock way before he became 'popular.'

And for the rest of you folks, music doesn't have to be deep and well-written to be 'good.' I grew up listening to 80s rock and 90s rock and I think a lot of popular pop music is bubblegum but it's supposed to be bubblegum. It's fun, it's light, it doesn't take itself seriously and that's completely acceptable. Ariana Grande, Chainsmokers, Justin Timberlake... they do their job with music because music is supposed to make you forget you're listening to music.

That's success, even with the Millenial Whooop included in those songs.

I don't know much about them other than what I here on the radio at work nearly every night.. They have a nice bop musically, like a lot of the other songs I hear, but like all of the others it really drones on with repetition. Where I live there aren't many local radio stations, and the ones we have play the same lists of songs on a nightly basis. So in short, regardless of how entertaining the song may be, when I hear them, I hear them 1000x over if that makes any sense.
