One time I found Killer Is Dead, limited edition, brand new at Gamestop for $10. It was a fantastic find. I guess that's one of the perks of being into niche developers like Suda51. People weren't necessarily clamoring to buy it, but I certainly was. It came with a soundtrack CD and an art book. It's one of my prize possessions.

zanderlex : I think it was a pre owned FFXIII at gamestop. Unfortunately, I can't remember the exact price of it, but it was relatively cheap, and seemed to be a good deal.

taterii : LOL, no matter what the game is, whenever a game has a special title in it, like Limited Edition, or other titles like GOTY, Collectors Edition, etc, it's cool when you can get a discount on these because for the most part, they're supposed to be so much better than the original games.

Like around Christmas, the limited edition version of Mortal Kombat X which was normally twice as much as the standard edition was on sale for the same price as the normal one, now that's a discount.

Once, I got a buy 1 get one free sale on 3DS games. I got Kirby Triple Deluxe and Yoshi's New Island, as well as Tomodachi Life. So I bought 2 and got 2 free. Pretty awesome deal if you ask me. This happened a year or 2 back.

Living so close to a GameXchange it's hard to say what the best deal I've gotten was, as I get so many. If pressed for an answer I'd say maybe landing three PS2 games for under $10 but that happens a lot.

A more specific time would be when I ordered Freedom Wars off of Amazon for $8 I think. Or when I landed Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational for $5 or so. And if bundles are counted then I technically got Arkham Knight on launch day for free.

The best deal I've gotten on games have come from a local flea market I used to visit a lot when I was younger. For a while it was basically the only way I got games since I couldn't afford to buy them for the usual price or have the newest console. Some years ago before Starcraft 2 released I found a new physical copy of the original Starcraft for PC with the brood war expansion included completely new. It only cost me about 20kr which is equivalent to about just over 2 dollars.

Other than that I also got a ton of good deals at Xbox and Playstation 2 games back when I owned those consoles. One stand in the flea markets were often selling the games in new condition and sealed at very reduced prices. Usually for about 100kr or so which is around 10 dollars. The only catch being that most of the games were less popular or known games. I still managed to buy a lot of games that would've cost me much more to get otherwise and discovered some hidden gems that way. Though this was early into when the X360 and PS3 had been released so it wasn't likely being done legally, ir still saved me a lot of money. They closed down later after which I stopped going there. I should go there sometime again though to see if I can find something good being sold again.

I sadly don't find discounts on games at all here. Except for buying them used (and them being particularly old games), or buying them off Steam and just waiting for a sale there. Of course, the Vizzed Market is also a wonderful discount too!

I wonder what the character limit on this thing is.

Guys, you may want to sit down for a second.

Are you sitting? Good.

I picked up the NTSC version of Final Fantasy VII in a garage sale, for € 2,50. It's legit and complete, and clean and unscratched. With the discs and booklet. The problem is though, that I live in Europe. I live in the PAL region. So the game doesn't work in my PlayStation. The game's owner probably wanted to get rid of it because she thought it was broken or something. So I basically have one of the greatest games in RPG history - in mint condition - for the price of some ice cream. I'll have to mod my PlayStation if I want to play it. Probably will do in the future.

I'm pretty sure the best deals I ever came across was during the Steam summer sale. I've only had my Steam account since January of this year, so I had quite a few games I had my eye on, but could never quite afford. I was able to buy most of them during the summer sale for as much as up to 90% off, I was really excited. Granted that most of the games I wanted were RPG maker games and were already quite cheap, but, a game going from something like $2.99 or whatever to $0.99 is still a good deal.

I think my favorite purchase, though, would have to be RPG Maker VX Ace. Normally it's about $69.99 I believe, but I bought it during the Steam summer sale for $9.99.

Usually going to a local game store about 2 towns over I can get some good deals on used PS2 and some PS3 games. I think it was like 6 years ago I got a stack of PS2 games, probably 13 games for $45. 3 of the games I got for free, they were Deus Ex, Max Payne, and I can't remember the third game. I already had the original Deus Ex and Max Payne on PC, but I didn't mind having them on console, especially if I didn't want to go through installation process on PC lol. Sometimes I am that lazy. Still a great deal though.
