I gotta go Super Mario World. It's one of the best of the best and it is the one that solidified my love for gaming when I was young. I just can't get it out of my head. Mad respect for Mario 64 though, it took Mario into a whole new world and it was pretty great fun for the most part.

I can not vote on the polls because the two games I admire the most of the "Mario" series is not listed there.  I would vote for Super Mario: Legend of the Seven Stars, the RPG where Star Road has been shattered and the new crew of Mario, Mallow, Geno, Bowser, and Princess Toadstool set out on a great RPG adventure to restore it.  The other is Where's Mario, the game featuring Mario's disappearance and it is up to Luigi to find him as you follow his lone path seeking Mario his brother.

It would be a close one for me. I like a lot of the Mario games, but if I had to choose, it would be Super Mario 64. It was the first Mario game in 64 bit pixels, it was also a very fun game to play. 

The second game on my list would have to be Super Mario Bros. 3. It has a lot of items that they did not use again, but had a nice story and levels.
