For those that don't know what a cheesesteak is, you might be more familiar with the name "Philly cheese steak sandwich." The name identifies it as that particular type of sandwich, as there is a normal steak sandwich that is just a piece of steak on a hoagie roll, maybe with lettuce, tomato, and onion... very different.

Now, as to my preference... it is rather hard as I like both. Granted on the west coast you can't really get a philly cheese steak everywhere so it is at a disadvantage. Assuming that both are made the way I like it, I would say the philly, though it is not an easy choice.

... I think with the angus burgers from McDonald's you can get cheddar cheese, but I am not certain. I wouldn't eat it anyway because McDonald's is death-on-a-bun, but at least they can be found everywhere.

lol this is one of the most difficult polls i've had to choose... i like both alot but at this moment i would rather have a cheesesteak sub than a cheeseburger sub... so i went with cheeseteak and that tied the poll up at 12 each

You can't beat an old fashioned hamburger. Cheesesteak doesn't even come close in terms of taste.

I would have to say that I prefer a hamburger over a cheese steak. Ahh, the good old hamburger.

They are both good, but if I had to pick I would go for hamburger!!

I picked hamburger's only because I love cheeseburgers they are just so damn good!!!

Reminds me of the "soda","pop","hotdog"(no really why Hot DOG, can't you call it a sausage sandwich or something ?) and more that I need time to think of.

I can't vote, I hate both (burger maybe not, but HAM burger, inst' that similar to a ham sandwich, which tastes a lot better).

I love cheesesteaks, but it really depends on what I'm in the mood for, and I tend to think of hamburgers more often, so my vote is for hamburgers.

I'm going with the Hamburger, only because I've never tasted a Cheesesteak before in my life. Maybe once I taste it, I'll change my mind.

For sure I'd go for a Hamburger (w/ cheese) over a Cheesesteak Sandwich any day.
I don't like the taste of the melted cheese they put on them sandywiches.

Yeah, it's a steak sandwich with melted cheese, bell pepper (red/green), onions and mushrooms.....who knows, you just might like it if you try one
