I voted based one the persons seemingly lack of bias towards all members, serious professional attitude towards this position, yet overly serious.

Honestly I'm not fond of how the election was set up. I don't know if this suggestion is feasible, but I'm suggestion for each candidate to have a temporary election account, each named Candidate 1, 2, 3, etc. and for each election things like reasons and questions, to be done in that account, with a trust system that the user won't say anything that would hint at who they were. The polls will thus be set up under the candidate numbers not the real username. I feel like popularity will be the deciding factor in this election,

Mangepic : It's an interesting concept, but also leaves room for great amounts of deception. You can pretend to be anyone you want when you have anonymity on the internet. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not accusing anyone here of being a liar, but I think it's a good thing that everyone's reputation precedes them. Not only will it give you a better idea of who your voting for if they have a poor reputation, but will also show you how much a particular user has improved. Elections have always been about popularity. That doesn't even exclude congressional or presidential elections.

Especially with such a small community, most active voters are in some way, most likely biased towards one candidate, for some reason other than agreeing with views, or a good reputation. For example, if my Dad was running for president I would most likely vote for him, despite the fact that I might agree more strongly with someone else.
As for current staff could know who was who, and check for obvious, blatant lies. Other than that, you could lie just as easily with your regular account.
But doesn't matter anyways cause this is probably impossible (or extremely hard, or tiresome) to set up

Uhm, she didn't. And there were 3 or 4 other people who have been gone for a while and randomly returned that wanted to be involved in this. I'm not sure how she is just getting to be a mod. The staff didn't decide we needed a replacement mod and hired her on a whim. We gave the power to the users to pick the mod. If you don't like that method then we can go back to the old way of doing things where the members of Vizzed get absolutely no say in the entire thing. Is that better????
